WATCHMAN WARNING: WHAT IS HAPPENING?

 

That is a question I expect on the minds of many believers.  We are so very close to the return of the Lord.  And now we see a bold change in the government of the US that will surely lead to a move away from the trend to the one world government that was so well underway.  A very few other places have had a similar change in government, such as Argentina, but not many.  The UN, the World Economic Forum, and others all continue to work towards the one-world government.

 

So what does this mean?  Still and most obviously, we all should be alert to all that is happening as the Lord has warned us in Luke 21:36, and be ready to go when he comes.

 

Beyond that, let me say that nothing has changed regarding our being so close to the return of Jesus.  All those prophecies fulfilled, everything is still in line for that.  His coming to collect his sheep could happen anytime.

 

Here are some interesting insights regarding the newly elected government in the US:

 

• There seems to be some talk about encouraging the building of the third temple in Jerusalem. Well, that does need to be ready by the middle of the Tribulation when the antichrist comes to take up residence there, but that building could all happen during the early years of the Tribulation.  Still, it is interesting to hear this being discussed!

• The newly nominated secretary of defense himself has spoken of the need to build the temple on a specific spot on the temple mount.

  

• The newly appointed ambassador to Israel under the new administration is a strong supporter of Israel, as are several in the new administration

• Likely, we shall see a return to the efforts of the previous Trump administration to bring about a peace accord with Israel and its many neighbors. You may remember the successful Abraham accords that brought some Arab nations  to an improved relationship with Israel.

 

 

• In the election on November 5, the overwhelming number of evangelical Christians voted for President Trump. Similarly, the great number of Catholics voted for President Trump.  But, sadly and shockingly, the overwhelming number of Jews in the US voted for the losing side, the socialist government that was leading the US into the one-world government and that does not strongly support Israel.  It seems inconceivable, but then we have to realize these people do not know Jesus.  And for that matter, so many are not even serious Jews, rather being ethnic Jews.  Well, the time of their coming face to face with truth is near at hand, just not yet.

All this is interesting surely.  But then you and I know a bit more.  We know that once a true peace agreement is signed by Israel that the people believe in so much they live in unwalled villages, the seven year Tribulation begins.  In fact, it begins the moment that agreement is signed.  And the individual who clearly leads that to come about is the antichrist.

 

We also have noticed all the interaction between Russia and Turkey and Iran in recent years.  All that is leading up to their attack on Israel in the Ezekiel 38-39 war, an attack that is obviously repelled by God in a way all should recognize his hand.  That attack will happen early in the Tribulation period, for the people are living in unwalled villages when it occurs the Bible says.

 

I do have one other overriding comment:  the new administration is not yet in office.  It seems an eerily quiet period in the US.  We all should be praying for peace and safety for all involved as this goes forward.

 

We should still expect the Lord’s return to collect his believers before the beginning of the Tribulation, for as we have noted so many times, in several places the Bible notes we were not appointed to suffer wrath.  Besides, the antichrist will not be free on earth to work to bring about the famous peace agreement that begins the Tribulation unless the true CHURCH, the true believers, have been taken out of the way. 

 

Keep your eyes on Jesus.  At all times.  Pray in the Spirit.  Seek his guidance.  Remember, the Holy Spirit guides you into all truth, tells you things yet to come, and reminds you of things Jesus has said to you.  If you don’t know the Holy Spirit and his gifts, pray to receive that and the baptism of the Spirit.  If possible, ask a Spirit-filled believer to pray for you for this.  Or contact us and we can pray for you over the telephone.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON - THE FINAL STEPS

  

There will be fearful events, Jesus said of our time.  People will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea, he said.

 

All that just happened.  No one on the west coast of Florida, the Gulf Coast side, ever expected the storm Helene to have serious impact on them.  It was over a hundred miles away and supposedly heading north to come ashore in the panhandle area of Florida.  Then suddenly there was the many feet of storm surge and terrible destruction of cities and houses on that west coast.

 

Far away, five hundred miles north, in the mountains of NC people were living in Asheville and Boone and smaller towns like Chimney Rock and many more.  Five hundred miles!  Hurricanes were for the coast surely.  But not so this time.  Helene arrived at an area already saturated with many inches of rain.  And it just poured more on.  Then a flood ensued unlike anything anyone living had ever seen.  Massive destruction and loss of life.  We still don’t know the full extent.  The rescuers haven’t gotten everywhere to check it all out yet.  Too many trees down, not like we are used to seeing – a tree here or there.  No, this is piles of trees all together that take long, long periods to remove.  Buildings and cars wrecked and piled up.  Hundreds of roads damaged and cut off.  Bridges out.   And hundreds of people still missing.

 

The flood is of Biblical proportions some say.

 

Some try to compare it to the great flood there in 1916 but of course no one was around then.

 

And at the same time this is happening Iran sends many missiles into Israel, and the Middle East is turbulent indeed.  And the Ukraine war just continues.  Nation against nation.  Wars and rumors of wars.

 

Final signs.  These are part of the final signs.  Jesus outlined events of the last days.  Those days are here.

 

We are at the time of the Lord’s return.  Most people just do not know.  Serious believers know if they are paying attention.  Not anyone else. 

 

So we wait to hear his command, the angel’s shout, and the trumpet.  And we will be off, leaving behind huge numbers of people who do not know Jesus, including no doubt a significant number who thought they were Christians but were not born again, not born of water and the spirit as Jesus said was a requirement.  They had been let down by their church or by their own thinking.  They did not do the will of Jesus’ father.  They did not have the same innocent faith as little children.  And evidently they just did not truly believe.  So many in their churches and in some places their pastors themselves will be left behind.

 

Time.  It’s time.  You can continue to try to wake people up, to tell people the truth.  Lots just don’t want to be bothered.  They don’t want to hear.  Lots already have been caught in the deception of the evil one and even have fallen into delusion.  Some have just never paid attention or apparently even been able to hear the truth of God.  Many others get angry and protest in cities and universities for anti-god causes although they can’t understand they are on the wrong side,  They line up in support of vicious and blind opponents of the Jews and they support the LGBTQ movement in all its ramifications.  They are spiritually lost and will live in the Tribulation.

 

We believers all have to keep in mind that only God the Father can draw anyone to Jesus.  We can’t.  We can speak to others about Jesus and the gospel and the return.  We can pray for God the Father to draw these people to Jesus.  But then we have to let God be God.

 

Soon.  Soon the Lord will be here.  And we believers will be gone.  Comfort yourselves also with realization that some come to know the Lord during the horrible Tribulation period.  In Revelation John the disciple sees countless Tribulation saints in Heaven.

 

I don’t know how many more storms like Helene will occur or how extensive the wars will become or how many other natural or human disasters will occur before Jesus arrives.  Hopefully none.  One thing is for certain.  He will be here soon.

 

Another thing is certain too:

 

Some things are now happening on earth we have little or no control over.  Not all, just some.  I think we still apply the power of prayer in all situations and use the authority Jesus has given us at all times.  But just realize there may be moments that possibly we can’t change.  Jesus is coming indeed at the appointed time.  That time is set.  And it is soon.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: REMEMBERING OUR HUMANITY

  

If you have been watching any of the BBC coverage of the various events connected to the mourning of the death of Queen Elizabeth, or even some of the coverage on other networks, you have in my humble estimation seen humanity at its highest.  That is especially important considering the terrible things and behaviors we see in leaders and various groups and peoples in the US and other nations today, a regular daily montage of horror and lies and deception.

 

When we look in on the United Kingdom, we see literally millions of persons quietly mourning and honoring the Queen.  Huge numbers line the streets everywhere, whether in London or Windsor or Edinburgh, or other places.  They wait and wait, to see the Queen’s coffin pass buy, to see some of her family, to see some of the ceremony.

 

They wait solemnly and with respect, yet with celebration of her life.  They talk with each other in the waiting lines.  When the coffin passes by, there are tears and there is applause.  The people are clearly moved.

 

I haven’t seen the kind of excellent human behavior we are seeing right now on our televisions and the Internet in many years.  It is a small family funeral expanded thousands fold to involve all the peoples of the earth who want to be involved.

 

Yesterday I saw an interview on the street of a woman who had flown from a far away country and had just passed by the coffin to pay her respects.  She had obviously been crying.  And she answered some questions as to why she had come and what it had meant to her.  And of course I could identify with her.  So could anyone who has a heart, a soul, certainly anyone who loves the Lord.

 

Why is it here in the last moments before Jesus returns to collect his believers we have been given such a massive display and example of love and affection, of caring, a massive display of millions of people getting along well with each other?

 

It is a massive display of people caught up in what really matters in life – the relationship of one human with another, the respect of one for another, the honoring of a life quite apparently lived for the benefit of others.  When I hear all the stories of the Queen’s life, I wonder where do people like that come from?  Someone who willingly sacrifices her life for others, who lives life under a microscope in full view of the world.  I do of course know where her strength and character come from – that comes from the Lord, from her faith which has been noted many times.

 

It would be wonderful if all people could see what is going on and identify with the family and with the people caught up in honoring this Queen.  It would be wonderful if they could escape so many false causes and objectives and deceptive issues, so many false prophets, even for a moment.  Yes that would be wonderful.

 

If you can, spend some time watching especially the funeral and all the procession and such on Monday.  Watch some of those hundreds of thousands filing past the bier.  Listen to the wonderful scriptures that have been and are being spoken throughout by the priests.  And perhaps for just a moment say a prayer for the royal family, for those caught up in all this every day in full view of the world.  Imagine your family in such a situation.  Say a prayer for the new King who has not it appears really had time to himself since all this started; rather he has been going forward just as his mother did, going here and there, meeting with all sorts of people as his reign begins.

 

The real eternal King is soon to come and we will be moving forward with him.  In eternity.  In his Kingdom in Heaven and then again back on earth. 

 

God bless the Queen.  And thank God for giving us these few moments of peace and love to see what can be and should be the human condition on earth.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: EVIL - WHAT BELIEVERS KNOW AND UNBELIEVERS DO NOT

  

Evil is real.  Evil is a person.  It is the devil, Satan, Lucifer, the evil one, whatever you want to call him, and all his minions.  One third of the angels followed the devil.

 

God is real too, and Jesus Christ.

 

Right now in time, this devil is the ruler of the earth.  The whole world is under the control of the evil one.  John the disciple said that in 1 John 5:19.

 

The god of this age (the devil) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  Paul said that in 2 Corinthians 4:4.

 

He is the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.  Paul said that too, in Ephesians 2:2.

 

Lots of Christians and denominations miss these very important points.  Yes of course Jesus defeated the devil in going to and through the cross and yes believers in Jesus indeed are in the Kingdom of God already and have great protections against this evil one and his dark kingdom if they use what God has provided them.  And yes Jesus is coming soon to gather his sheep and shortly thereafter to win the battle against evil at Armageddon and lock this devil in a deep pit.

 

All these people on earth who do not know the Lord, who are not in the Kingdom of God, are ready prey for the devil and his many evil spirits, his demons.  His lies, his deception work readily in people who cannot discern the truth.  All these many people do not know about putting on the armor of God.  They do not know about the authority the believer has to cast out demons.  They do not have the protection that God has sent to his believers in the form of angels he sends to serve all those who will inherit salvation.  They don’t know any of that.

 

They are easily led astray.  Look every day at the terrible acts of evil you read about or hear about, depraved acts of individuals and groups, horrible crimes, terrible actions like those of the shooter in Uvalde Texas.  Look at the behavior of some people near you, maybe even family members who do not know Jesus.  Their behavior may not be as horribly violent as that of this shooter or the criminals committing all the atrocities on the streets of some big cities today, but they are still lost and have no protection against this evil one whenever he chooses to lead them astray.

 

All this talk about mental illness and guns and homes without fathers and drugs and so on…all serious subjects to be sure, but all side issues.  The real issue is that the devil and his minions are running amuck now in the world in these last of the last days.  And those without Jesus are lost and ready prey.  Leaders of the nation without Jesus have no idea of what is really happening.  Neither do media or entertainers or business executives or university presidents without Jesus. 

 

That is the world you live in now.  It is not a pleasant peaceful place.  But this is the truth.  To the extent possible this evil one surely will attempt to attack believers in the Lord, especially whenever they let their guard down or stray from the faith in any way.  And he will most assuredly attack through others close to the believers, through unbelieving friends and family.  Or maybe through other factors, like finances or business or whatever.

 

It all comes back to that basic truth of Keeping Your Eyes on Jesus, of staying in the faith, of using the tools God has provided.  Watch that you are not deceived, and use that wonderful gift of the Spirit, discernment.  And always remember, Jesus is not going to lose you.

*CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS! – WATCH THAT YOU ARE NOT DECEIVED!

 

Jesus’ famous warning about these last days to watch that we are not deceived was not said to a group of nonbelievers!  It was spoken to his closest disciples!  So obviously it is a great and sincere warning to each of us who have Jesus as our Lord.

 

After watching the behavior of various persons and groups, including people who are believers, over these past few years, I see a real need to point this out and to give some guidance.  Let’s look at these illustrations:

 

LAST INAUGURATION DAY

In the last presidential election, even after election day and in the period leading up to the inauguration day of January 20, there was among some believers a sense that the former president, Donald Trump, had a group of persons supporting him with a lot of power – including military for example – and that just before January 20 he and they would take over the government. They would expose all the evil doing among various politicians in the country and Trump would be put back in as president.

 

 

Now this so impacted some believers that as that day approached, I suddenly received an email from one of our partners who had heard all this.  She wrote to inquire about it and when it was going to happen, if it was going to happen.  She pointed out that the “prophets” were all saying this, prophets well respected by others.  By the word prophets she evidently meant some of the prominent tv and internet persons who call themselves prophets. 

 

 

 

None of this turned out to be true.  These so called prophets – including apparently some fairly well known persons – had gotten their views from who knows where.  Perhaps it was wishful thinking.  I could do little to help her except to tell her to pray about those giving out words she thought prophetic, to inquire of God and to search the Bible to see if their words or what they were doing seemed to fit and be right. 

 

 

 

This was a group of people – perhaps not connected to each other at all – who were living in delusion and deception or who were misleading people willing to believe a hope, a fantasy.  They were people who operate in the Christian world and indeed maybe they are sincere believers.  They themselves may have been deceived.  I want to point out right now, not all deceivers are from the far left, progressive, woke, cancel-culture side of things.  Obviously some are from the conservative and supposedly Christian side.

 

 

 

You can’t just depend on others to tell you what to believe and how to act.  You have to discern yourself, to seek the Lord’s guidance.  This is where being filled with and baptized in the Holy Spirit is such a great help.  The Holy Spirit will guide you in all truth.  He will show you the right path if you are open to him and willing to let him do so, if you will just spend sufficient time with the Lord to hear.

 

 

 

COVID

Today I just saw an email from another follower of our ministry. They were concerned about my reporting in a recent Watchman Warning that virtually all the people in the hospitals today for covid are unvaccinated people.  They said I should stop looking at the media.  Evidently they thought I was being misled. 

 

 

But you too should know if you pay attention to the hard facts, the statistics, that this is indeed true.  Everywhere now from numerous sources - such as government and university groups that keep such records to newspapers and local television stations  to just plain good old local doctors - this truth is known.  The overwhelming number of persons in the hospitals and dying with covid are those that have not been vaccinated.

 

 

 

I know many people from various backgrounds for various reasons were and are greatly concerned about this vaccine – some thought it not tested enough, some for the fear that comes from their ancestors having been used unknowingly in a medical test decades ago, some others believing that those behind the vaccine were part of a conspiracy.  I know that even some people in the medical field have not had the vaccine.

 

 

 

But all this does not change the fact that those sick enough from covid to be in hospitals and those dying of the covid virus are almost entirely unvaccinated people. 

 

 

 

Don’t be deceived.  Deception can come from the conservative side and indeed from some in the “Christian” community too, as I just described above.  It is up to you to decide what to believe and how to go forward.  So many individuals don’t want to have to figure things out, to discern for themselves.  God is here to help you in that, but you have to take the steps, spend the time, do the research.  Or at the least find persons and authorities you truly know are serious believers that God guides you too.  Be suspicious and check out anyone with unusual, unorthodox theories.  Maybe one will be true.  Maybe a lot will not.

 

 

 

AFGHANISTAN

Right now our nation is going through the throes of a complete catastrophe in Afghanistan. The management of the withdrawal has been a nightmare.  Taking out the military before removing the American citizens and the Afghans who had worked with the Americans is almost unfathomable, yet that is what the current American government did.  And in doing so, it showed the world and our giant adversaries on earth like China and Russia and others, just how confused and apparently incompetent the leadership of America now is.

 

 

The behavior of our current president has led many to question just who is running things in the government.  Whoever it is is not doing a good job.  One Washington official just declared he wants to know who is behind the curtain. I’m sure we all would like to.

 

 

 

In any event, this administration and whoever is behind it have indeed sought to deceive the American people with the health and abilities of the current president, but that deception is becoming more evident.  What will happen next in the government?  That I don’t know.  Maybe nothing.  But you yourself must seek not to be deceived.  Live with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

 

 

 

 

 

That’s enough for now.  Obviously we are in the midst of the last days.  Obviously deception is everywhere.   

 

And obviously so many things are happening.  Jesus warned of nation against nation, of earthquakes and pestilence and storms and fearful things and on and on.  Well, we are in the midst of this.

 

In all things keep your eyes on Jesus.  Use the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of discernment, to see and understand the truth in situations.  And if you don’t have the Holy Spirit or know what I am talking about, find some spirit filled Christian to pray for you to receive and be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

WATCHMAN WARNING! - THE NIGHT IS NEARLY OVER - THE DAY IS ALMOST HERE

You know that what is being said and promoted in much of the mass media and the government and elsewhere today is just plain deception.  You know that.  Jesus’ first warning about our day was to watch that we are not deceived.  Well, I hope you are watching.

 

Add to all this deception dramatic natural physical events happening regularly and you know you are where you have thought you are.  Right at the end of the age.  Consider these examples:

 

• A private school, Grace Church School, in NY City is encouraging students to stop using the words mom, dad, and parents. Why? Because these words contain assumptions about what a typical family looks like.  Deception to the full.  Even more sad, this is a “church school.”

 

 

• There were more major earthquakes in the first sixty-five days of 2021 than in the same time period in all other years in recorded history.

 

 

• China has just now undergone a huge sand storm that has cut visibility dramatically, obscuring things like the high rises in Beijing.

 

 

• The new president has already given an executive order pushing transgender behavior that will likely lead to boys and men on women’s and girl’s teams, in girls locker rooms, etc. It is the eventual destruction of women’s athletics, unless some groups step in to fight in the courts.

 

 

• The new equality act being debated in congress would take LGBTQ rights further and spell the end of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Pastors would not be free to speak what they should, as now in Canada.  Churches and ministries would lose control of whom they can hire.

 

 

• The southern borders are now open to large numbers of illegal immigrants. All at the same time that the border with Canada is closed and strongly monitored and the USA supposedly is trying to conquer coronavirus.

 

 

• A huge $2 trillion bill just passed Congress under the guise of stimulus to help people and small businesses hurt in the pandemic, but less than ten per cent of the $2 trillion is for that!

 

 

• The rate of hospitalization and deaths and cases of coronavirus continues to drop rapidly, yet the federal government and some medical experts continue to frighten the public. Many from the liberal media and government are outraged that Florida has a basically open state, and that Texas is opening up too.  In fact now more than fifteen states have dropped the mask mandate.  All the while California continues with draconian rules of lockdown.  Florida’s schools have been open a long time, restaurants, etc., no mask mandate, while California has been just the reverse.  Yet the incidence of the virus has been roughly the same in both states.  So what did all the rules in California accomplish?

 

 

• Some citizens are gradually waking up to how they have been held hostage, how their rights have been and are being taken away, so there are efforts to recall the governor in California and soon probably something like that in New York for more than one reason.

 

 

• The National Guard remains around the capitol building in Washington, DC. The head of the Guard recommended the Guard be sent home but he was overruled by the Administration in the form of the new Secretary of Defense.  What are they afraid of?  Probably the half of the American population that still knows the outcome of the recent election was highly questionable.

Franklin Graham says madness is sweeping across our country, focusing specifically on the horrible cancel culture that seeks to suppress people who have views different from “what our godless society has deemed fitting and appropriate.”

 

Representative Jim Jordan says in a recent Tweet that “House Democrats gave felons $1,400 stimulus checks.  Today, they’re making it harder for law abiding citizens to buy a gun.  And at the same time, they’re trying to defund the police!”

 

You and I know all that is going on is confused, massive deception….we are living in the time of calling evil good and good evil.  We really are living in a godless system restrained by the prayers and efforts of the serious believers still on earth and the actions of the Holy Spirit and God’s angels that are here.

 

All I have to add is the title of this piece:

 

The night is nearly over

 

The day is almost here

 

Yes it is.  Put another way, those words from Romans 13:12 mean this evil age is almost over and the time of Christ’s return is at hand.  Evil is darkness.  Christ is light. 

 

So do not be dismayed.  I know that is easier to say than to carry out.  It is an awfully unpleasant and evil world.  Believers who view this world through the Holy Spirit gift of discernment see that.  Other people, including those not having the Holy Spirit gifts, including even many who attend church regularly, probably not. 

 

Do whatever you can to assist in God’s drawing people to Jesus.  Ask the Holy Spirit for divine encounters.  Seek his guidance always.  He will guide you in all truth.  He will show you things yet to come.  He will remind you of things Jesus has said.  He will tell you things he has heard.  He is God, you know, a member of the Trinity.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: ALL THESE TROUBLING PROPHECIES AND PRAYING FOR THE NATION - HOW DOES ALL THIS WORK?

What a wonderful sight, all those believers praying on the national mall at all those famous buildings and monuments.

What a thrill to see; as one young woman said, how wonderful to be surrounded by other serious believers. 

Yes, there really are a significant number of people who know Jesus and are known by him, people who are born again and filled with the Spirit. 

It was good for them to pray for our nation.  It was good to pray in line with 2 Chronicles 7:14 and other wonderful verses in the Bible.

And yes we know God hears and God answers prayer.  In his way.  At his time.  As it lines up with his will.  As Jesus says, prayed in his “name.”

Surely you and I know there is nothing the Lord cannot do.  No situation he cannot handle. 

But also you and I know these truths:

• We are living in the very last days and hours before the return of the Lord himself to collect his believers, followed by the Tribulation and more.
• The number of believers percentage wise is not great. Jesus himself taught it is a few.
• In these last days and hours as we approach his return and all the events that follow, we know from scripture and many prophecies many things that are to come and are already happening.
• We know that these things that happen in the last days are not pleasant, are frightening, are dangerous. All those prophecies from Jesus and others about deception, delusion, false prophets, falling away from God, rise in lawlessness, roaring and tossing of the seas, pestilence, and more.  So we are not surprised to see these things increasing

This is a true and honest puzzle for believers:  just how can the earlier comments of praying for God to heal the land and all the very real and now being fulfilled prophecies of troubling end times events all mesh together?   

These prophecies indeed are true.  They will and do happen.  They are happening right now.  That and the continual assault of the devil and his demonic forces is why the world is in such confusion.  Perhaps we can hope and believe that God will bring peace to the land such that we are not so terribly troubled by events when he arrives.  Or maybe somehow that we believers will increase in our ability to live in peace and joy even though the terrible prophesied events happen all around.  God alone knows how this will all come to pass in detail.  We don’t know the details, just the big points we’ve been told.

Most people today including many believers just have not yet come to grips with the fact that Jesus really is coming very soon, that we are privileged to be living in the very last days of this age.  But it is true. 

May God bless and protect his believers, all he would have in his Kingdom – even those who still do not know the Lord.  May we do all in our power to help him in his leading those of his elect who do not yet know him to come to that knowledge.

SIGN OF THE TIMES: ASTONISHING! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US ALL AS A PEOPLE? (JUST GIVE US THE FACTS PLEASE!)

None can deny these are unpleasant and difficult times.  They are also the times shortly before the return of Jesus. In just a few short weeks a frightening but erroneous lethal forecast for a new virus coupled with decisions by the leaders and experts throughout the world to ignore established rights of the people has led to near disaster for America’s and the world’s economies.  Thankfully the model’s death forecasts for this coronavirus were terribly wrong.  And yes we still of course do need to be cautious about that disease and to use the wise preventive steps that have been advanced.

Something most of us seldom see or hear when this virus is discussed anywhere is real solid facts.  Mostly what we hear is hype.  Below are the facts of our current situation.

• The USA leads the 200+ countries in the world by a lot in the number of deaths attributed to covid-19 coronavirus: more than 81,000 deaths.

• In second place is the UK with more than 32,000, closely followed by Italy at more than 30,000, and France and Spain each with more than 26,000.

• Then there is a great drop to the next country, with Brazil filling that spot at more than 11,000.

• Surprisingly, none of the remaining 190 + countries on earth has even 10,000 deaths from this disease. Not Russia.  Not China if we believe China’s numbers.  Not the giant India or the huge Pakistan or Nigeria. 

• In fact, the majority of the world’s countries have very few deaths, far less than they have deaths from other diseases like tuberculosis and malaria and so on. About sixty-five percent of the world’s countries each have less than one hundred deaths from coronavirus.  Many have far fewer than that, totals in the ten to twenty range.

• Even in the USA the death total for coronavirus is way below the annual level for cancer (600,000), heart disease (650,000), respiratory, stroke, and so on. Using recent full year figures from the CDC, coronavirus would rank as the sixth or seventh greatest killer.

• In the USA, almost half of the deaths are in New York and New Jersey, with a huge amount being right in New York City. Why is that?  Why haven’t we seen huge numbers of deaths in other great international cities like Tokyo, for example?

• A great number of US states have little coronavirus. A few never closed down.

• The overwhelming majority of deaths from coronavirus are in older people, people over seventy, and most of those have preexisting conditions (esp. obesity and diabetes). There are few deaths for younger adults and nearly zero for anyone under 18.

• In the US a significant portion of the deaths have occurred in nursing homes where the elderly were sitting ducks and obviously those giving the care were not prepared. If we back out those figures, the US figures drop greatly.  Even including those figures, the percent death rate in the US from this disease is only two hundredths of one percent of the population.

With all that as background, there are very real and serious questions for you to contemplate:

• Look how focused the impact of this disease has been. Is this God’s judgement on Western culture?

• Is this somehow a targeted disease from China against the western powers – the USA and western Europe?

• Why is so much of the rest of the world so little affected? Why don’t we see more in the media questioning all this?

• And why has the rest of the world nevertheless caused such severe harm to itself by shutting down just like the USA and Europe?

• Why everywhere have people under at least sixty not been allowed to continue working and traveling about as normal, just observing the basic prevention rules of handwashing, social distancing, and perhaps wearing a mask? That would have averted the great destruction of the economy throughout the world and who knows how many persons suffering and even dying from starvation, increased suicides, and such.

• The USA government took the steps of encouraging the shelter at home policy, the lockdown, after medical experts presented forecasted deaths of over 2 million (from a model). The same model projected deaths of 500 million in the UK.   

• Is this lockdown of the world’s economies the greatest mistake in the history of the world?

• Why are certain governors and other political leaders continuing to oppress people with stringent controls when it is obvious they are not warranted?

• Regardless of how the coronavirus came about, is the subsequent reaction of the various governments and the hyped actions of many in media and other fields an effort to break down the strong western economies and maybe even the world, putting the world’s nations in a much more subdued state easily organized into that one world government of the end times, the government run by the antichrist?

• Will we ever see a return of the basic rights of Americans to the citizens? A full return?  Why did Americans so readily give up their rights, rights like freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, freedom of religion, and so on? 

• Is there much more going on today in the governments, the media, and more than just the fighting against a serious disease? (Come on – you know the answer to that one.  Of course.)

Why such a reaction to this disease?  One religious writer I just read cites the great lack of faith among so many people, the incessant chatter of the social media, and the endless focus on bad news by the media itself.  I would add to that the behavior of several politicians who seem to jump right into the mainstream of shutting things down and exerting ever more power.  All of this creates every more fear, and as believers know, fear is not from God.  It is demonic, a tool of the devil.

One great concern I have outside the disease itself is the way Americans readily gave up their rights in recent weeks.  When the various government bodies started coming out with all their edicts and orders, they just acquiesced and closed their businesses, went home to stay.  Governors and lower level government officials put into place more and more regulations that completely go against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  You may not know this, but governors do not have the legal right to tell citizens to stay home, to shut down businesses, not to gather together, not to petition if they want.  The government does not have the legal right to tell churches not to hold services.  Some of this may have been wise for a while – generally during flu season many people try not to be in crowds for example.  But you should know that there is no right given these leaders to take the steps they have taken.  What is worse, lower level staff such as a few deputies and police and lower level judges have actually arrested and even sentenced people to fines or jail for disobeying such regulations.  A woman letting her daughter play outside her house in one state was arrested.  A man pitching a ball with his daughter in an empty field was taken away in handcuffs.  Now we see some leaders asking people to snitch on others if they disobey the shelter in place rules.

I think all of us who may have never understood before now can see how easy it is for dictators to rise and seize power.  All it took here was some fear blown up way out of proportion by the media and false projections.

One well known judge suggested recently that some of these governors and other officials could be prosecuted for their actions.  Wonder if that will ever happen.

I am concerned about how quickly and if we will all get back the rights that our founding fathers and our military fought so hard to obtain and preserve.  What do you think George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Patrick Henry would all think of the recent weeks.  Or for that matter those who fought to save the world in WWII, like my father.

It goes without saying that this is a bizarre disease with bizarre symptoms.  I may write on that in another piece.  But right now the big concern is the bizarre way it has been handled by the world’s governments and the great fear people have shown in their personal responses.

There are more questions and more facts, but that is enough.  At this time in our lives, we all must remain singularly focused on Jesus.  Always seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit, using the great gifts of discernment and wisdom and more.

I suspect we have not seen the end of surprises to our way of life for this year.  Be alert as Jesus warned in Luke 21:36.  Watch that you are not deceived as he warned in Luke 21:8.  And realize we are dealing with a lot of godless people who occupy pretty senior positions in our country and world – government leaders and staff, media, businessmen, others.  No doubt there are some believers there too.  Just be alert.

The Lord never said these would be easy times.  We still have not seen the beginning of the Tribulation, for that starts when Israel signs a peace agreement they truly believe.  That hasn’t happened.  But we are surely well into fulfillment of the prophesies of things to happen before the Lord’s return.  See our book WAKE UP AMERICA! for all on that.  Pestilence is a prophetic sign Jesus gave in both Luke 21 and Matthew 24.  And the fourth horse of the apocalypse in Revelation 6 brings pestilence as well.

There is much to think about and much to pray about.

* URGENT WATCHMAN WARNING! - MOVING TO THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

No, the Antichrist has not been revealed yet, nor the False Prophet.  And the Tribulation most assuredly has not begun.

That said, we are clearly in the very last days before the Lord’s return.  Whether those last days are literally just days or a very few years we surely don’t know.

But the events of our recent weeks have brought the world much closer to being ready for the one-world government of the end times.  Throughout the planet governments have taken steps to cajole, encourage, and really force people to stay largely isolated in their homes or at least really separated from others.

In the USA we are all following those shelter in place rules, with so-called essential services still operating with ever more detailed rules (such as grocery stores having one-way isles, cashiers separated by Plexiglas, numbers in store at any time very limited, and so on.).  People either are trying to make delivery orders for groceries, or pickup orders, or go at the least crowded times.
In many other countries though this is all much more difficult and problematic.  Consider the third world nations, such as much of Africa.  Or consider more modern nations with a lot of developing/third-world characteristics, such as India or Pakistan.  Large numbers of people, huge numbers of children, no real social network to provide food for large numbers, and no real way for people told to shelter in place to get food!

It is a Franz Kafka or Orwellian novel in practice.  In Kenya people must stay at home.  We understand that the man of the family may go out for two hours a day to get food.  But if he is one of the average people or lower income people, how does he get it?  He can’t go out to work in some basic labor way, or to trade things he might have, maybe to sell a few crops he might have.  How are the children to eat?  I see that there was just a riot in Nairobi over food in the slum areas there.  Take this thought to the world’s second largest nation which has a huge young people population, India.  And just consider all the others like the highly populous Pakistan.

It is one thing to tell Americans to shelter in place.   It is another to tell people in many of the world’s nations to do that.  It is almost a sentence to starvation for some.

And in all this there is the obvious question of why this is indeed happening in the first place.  In most of Africa and many other nations of the world, there up to now is little coronavirus.  It might be better to come up with some in-between policies for now rather than force the people into starvation mode.  We are all still learning what this mysterious disease is.

It should be apparent to any observer that human rights are being willingly given up by the people in America and throughout the world.  The economy of the world has largely been shut way down.  The planet has stopped all the hubbub.  I saw that the actual normal wobble or vibration of the earth has slowed by this lack of activity.

In the USA the population has willingly given up jobs and work, has given up rights to assembly, apparently by recent actions of some local police even the right to petition.  People are told not to travel, not to visit others.  They are told what they can buy in stores and what they cannot.  They are allowed to walk around their local neighborhoods, at least for now, but in many places parks have been closed and even beaches of all things!  In other words, places are shut down that allow people to get together.

If you were planning a way to have far greater control over people, what better way than to isolate them and separate them from one another.  While some of these restrictions may be necessary, I hope you are well aware that what we are witnessing is a trashing of the Bill of Rights and of individual freedoms that our ancestors fought so hard to preserve.

So we move steadily on.  I don’t know exactly what the next weeks and months will bring regarding this coronavirus disease, but I expect it will be highly unlikely to see societies – including the USA – return back to the full “normal” we had before.  No doubt handshakes and hugs are a thing of the past.

There are out now all sorts of proposals, including a frightening one to develop some type of identification program so anyone who has survived the virus or maybe tested clean would have a card that permits them to move more freely than those who do not have the card.  Sound familiar?  Remember the mark in Revelation, a mark a person must have to buy or sell?

And there is talk of having a vaccine that everyone has to take.  Really?  Yes, really.

Timewise, the Tribulation will not begin until there is an agreement of some type signed or confirmed with the Jews, with Israel.  That agreement must be of a type that Israel believes brings real peace, for they then turn to living in unwalled villages (e.g., they don’t feel threatened).  This signing or confirming as described in Daniel 9:27 has not yet taken place.  When it does the seven year Tribulation begins immediately.  The Antichrist sometime after that eventually moves into Jerusalem and at the midpoint of the Tribulation takes up residence in the Temple there.  And thus begins the Great Tribulation, the worst time of wrath being poured out on earth.  There are several scriptures that make the point that believers are not appointed to suffer wrath, so I certainly expect us to be gone with Jesus before this Great Tribulation.  In fact, I expect us to be gone anytime from now up to the start of this Great Tribulation.

By the way, the individual who is responsible for the signing of that agreement in Daniel 9:27 is the Antichrist.  So if you are here and are paying attention, you will know the Antichrist at that moment.

The Antichrist and his key assistant the False Prophet work steadily for more and more control on earth as they move to the one-world government.  It is pretty apparent we are seeing steps in that direction now, despite the good intentions of many.  While we all should recognize the health challenges people face today, we still must all do all we can to see that individual liberties are preserved and restored in the coming months.  Sadly we have now already seen just how easy it is for those to be quickly taken away.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: REMEMBER

This is an extraordinary, unusual, and for most of us unprecedented time we are living in right now.  Keep your eyes on Jesus, the one who counts, and remember these great truths:

FEAR – Fear is not from God.  You know where that comes from, from the evil side of the spiritual realm, from that individual who has been a liar from the beginning.

PANIC – That is just an escalation of fear having its way.  Fear and panic in our society right now are evident not just in the general population but especially among some of these talking head leaders that are on television way too often and often just spread uncertainty and more confusion.  Some seem to almost relish giving out wildly out of line projections of how many will be sick when no evidence so far supports that.

HEALING AND HEALTH AND PROTECTION – All those scriptures in the Bible pertaining to divine healing and to God’s protection that I am always writing about and ministering in are just as true now as they always were.  And they apply to coronavirus just as they apply to anything else.

NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD – Still true.  God made that point himself.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD – A point made by Jesus and by Gabriel.

BELIEVERS CAN DO THE SAME THINGS JESUS DID – Jesus made that point.

SOME PERHAPS HELPFUL COMMENTS - I know it is troubling and confusing and perhaps angering to listen to all the politicians and all the media talk about this virus and plan all sorts of things.  We see even in this time of national concern the evidence still of individual political priorities coming in, people criticizing and hoping to make political points, and some media and some bureaucrats seemingly easily excitable and wanting to grandstand and project all sorts of things that are just not helpful.  All this is troubling and we must admit that in recent years these people have lost a lot of credibility with the public at large.  Still, we have to realize people are just people.  They are not God, although those who truly know the Lord can operate as he wishes and with the authority the Lord has given each believer.  Believers have the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Many of those on television you see all the time today focusing on this issue may not know the Lord and they are operating in their humanness.  And people make mistakes.  We all do.

ONE ADDITIONAL PIECE OF ADVICE - We all need to be alert to the actions being taken by the government here and abroad.  Do these actions make sense?  Are they justified?  Only time will tell.  But as this plays out, we need to see that these temporary measures really are temporary and disappear as soon as the disease is basically over.  We don’t need all those big government types, the one-world types, to put in place more harmful controls at a time of real serious concern on the part of the populace when most people are not thinking beyond the disease and how to be safe.

LAST DAYS – And one last area of comment.  Yes, it is true that pestilence is one of the signs of these last days before the Lord returns.  Well, you already knew we were living at the time of his soon return, so no need to be surprised by that.  There are all sorts of strange happenings around the world now, as we have written about in newsletters and other publications for a long time.
In all things at all times keep your eyes on Jesus.  Use the great spiritual gift of discernment that comes with the Holy Spirit to discern the truth in all situations.  Be guided by the Spirit as you go forward.  And live in that great peace and joy that comes with knowing the Lord.  Remember, he overcame the world and in him we do too.  Remember, in him you cast out demons.   And remember above all, that if you are a believer, the Lord is never going to lose you.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27

SIGN OF THE TIMES: PLAIN TALK

We are living now in the time of massive delusions on the parts of whole groups of people including some famous and prominent ones in positions of great responsibility.  And that is so dangerous to the world and humanity at large.  It is also reflective of the time in which we live.  Scripture tells us that eventually God will send those who refuse to accept the truth (e.g., the truth of the gospel, the truth about Jesus) a delusion.  Is that what is happening?  Certainly that may be the case, although I hope some of the young obviously lost souls we see on the TV and at times in person espousing ridiculous untruths may just be confused because they have never truly heard the truth.  I hope God will indeed reach some of these through us or other means.

But there is no doubt some are indeed deluded and have no excuse.  The Pope for example, who in his actions is working towards a one world government and a one world religion.  His actions are public and there for all to see.  Surely he has read the Bible, has read the book of Revelation.  Surely.   Delusion.  The move to bring in all these lost religions, the move to bring about one-world education, his lost comments such as Christians should not be seeking to convert others – goodness, do you think he ever read the Great Commission?

There are leaders in the Catholic Church who recognize this and speak out.  I just read some words from a Cardinal who basically said what I just wrote above.  Will they be heard by those who consider themselves Catholics?

One great problem of our day as far as belief and faith and being lost and deluded goes is that the majority of those who call themselves by one denomination or another for the most part have never read and studied and meditated on God’s word, let alone sought and received the guidance of the Holy Spirit on what his words mean.  They just don’t know the Word.  They have let and continue to let preachers and priests and others tell them what to think.  And for many denominations that is a prescription for being eternally lost.  In many denominations and thus many brick building churches the hired or appointed preacher or priest never gets into the true great depths of the faith, never gets into the fact that the Holy Spirit is active right now and miracles and healings happen right now today, never gets into the imminent return of the Lord, never gets into all Jesus accomplished, never gets into the true great reality of prayer.  Why? Because many of them don’t know themselves?  Possibly.  Also because the hierarchy of their denomination is just so lost itself and thus provides poor guidance.

Look at the National Council of Churches and the many protestant churches that are members.  They continually speak out against Israel and take action against Israel.  Are they insane?  Well, deluded to be sure.

Look at the Methodist church that is in the process of splitting into two groups because of the great demand of many churches in that denomination to have gay (LGBTQ) preachers and to perform gay marriages.  Yet the Bible is clear on the subject of homosexual behavior.  In Leviticus and Romans and the last page of Revelation.   Clear.  Clear.  Clear.   Not an acceptable behavior.  Will keep a person out of the Kingdom.  Those Methodist churches pushing to approve the things noted above are just lost.  They are not churches of the Lord Jesus are they? No, but neither are so many other churches out there.  And thus the great risk for all those so called Christian believers who attend church on Sundays and let the pastors tell them what to think and spend no time on their own searching out God’s truths and seeking him in prayer.

By the way, the African branch of the Methodist church has been horrified for some time by this impending support of homosexual behavior in the Methodist church.  They will surely be not accepting that position.  Wait….didn’t these African churches result from America and the Methodist church and other churches sending Africa missionaries so long ago?  The pupil has now become the true teacher!  Africa, as well as South America, is sending missionaries to America, in case you do not know.  Australia also is doing that.  Why?  Because so many of the traditional American churches and the Sunday churchgoers in America are lost, lost, lost.

So the Pope is clearly deluded.  Is that true for other famous leaders?  Appears so – in Congress, in Hollywood, certainly in the media.

Let’s take a moment to talk about delusion and illusion.  We all are familiar with the less serious term illusion – that word just relates to a physical condition, something which confuses the senses.  Like the old optical illusion games we all have seen or played.  Like maybe seeing two parallel lines that appear to intersect because of the background, like seeing two doors that appear to be of different sizes but are not because of the way they are drawn.  Illusions are like that.  Magician entertainers live in the world of illusions, doing things that trick us but we know they are not real.

The word delusion is deadly serious.  It refers to what goes on inside a person.  It is mental in nature.  And therein the danger.  People deep in their minds and hearts believe things that are not true and obviously are not true to those who have the gift of discernment and are not confused.  Without some shaking deep in the soul of those people, change will not be forthcoming.  They will not respond to simple logical discussions and arguments.

In the last days God gives those who will not accept the truth a delusion.

Frightening.  Do not think these deluded people out there in positions of authority or in those random and bizarre street demonstrations are not dangerous.  They are.

These are the last days.  Things happen.

In the words of our Lord, Stay alert!  Watch! So that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen.  Pray for protection for yourself and your family and others.  Cast out evil spirits in Jesus’ name.  Seek the continual guidance of the Holy Spirit and apply that great gift of discernment to confusing situations.

One writer on this subject of the last days refers to those believers who know the truth and who seek to educate others as crazy uncles.  In other words, those around do not accept them for what they say.  They are considered crazy, but they are at least still tolerated.   He suggests those crazy uncles, which would be most of us I think who are reading this, just prepare material to be used by all those to be left behind so then hopefully they will read and see the truth and be able to protect themselves in the terrible seven year tribulation.  He apparently may have given up on our influencing others to believe and see now.  I am not yet at that point, but I do see how hard headed and lost the mass of the people are.

May God have mercy on us all.
