* WATCHMAN WARNING: EVIL AT THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER

God the Father and the Lord Jesus have given believers the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Those baptized in the Spirit have wonderful gifts, including the important gift of discernment, or discerning of spirits.  They are able to discern when they are being lied to, when they are confronting falsehood.  People without that gift don’t have that direct ability.  They have to try to figure things out.  They are easily misled.  They are the overwhelming majority of people in America and on earth today.

 

Even a very average intellect can see the dinner at the Washington Hilton hotel did not have adequate security.  People could come and go in the hotel.  After all, it is a private hotel.

 

The shooter was able to assemble a weapon not far from that event.

 

Officials praise and thank the Secret Service and other security for stopping the shooter.  And indeed they need to be thankful for that. But what if this attacker had had a bomb or some other such device?  He would have been right there and could have set it off.  We might be writing about a real horror today. 

 

This is just more pure evil in the last days.  I saw the headline in the NY Post shortly after the event.  The main headline was “EVIL.”  They had it right.  That’s it.  Most media and most government leaders just do not get it because they don’t know and they don’t have that discernment gift.

 

Evil is pervasive in these last days.  Why didn’t we hear that from the political leaders and the commentators?

 

As to the fact that no one was seriously injured or killed, thanks go of course to God.  Why didn’t we hear that from everyone? 

 

Reflecting  after the fact, why hold such an event in such an obviously insecure place? 

 

And to top all this I am thinking about the fact that this atrocious US Congress has not approved a bill to pay salaries for the Secret Service and other essential groups charged with protecting the President and Americans in general.

 

In the last days, God turns those who refuse to accept the truth over to a spirit of delusion.  It surely appears that this has been and is happening right now.  Many of the confused and out-of-control  disruptive people in our day seem highly deluded, unable to discuss things rationally.  But sadly so too are many who quietly occupy positions of authority but seem incapable of coming to a meaningful understanding of what is going on and incapable of needed action,

 

Many of the people we see every day are clearly godless.   They don’t know Jesus.  They haven’t been born again.  They don’t have the Holy Spirit and the gifts.  And they stumble around, some in leadership roles in all fields and some in roles of out of control rebels.

 

Frightening.

 

Jesus is coming soon.  Believers know that.  He can’t come soon enough for most.

 

I remember words the Lord said to me on this subject years ago:  

 

“When I come things will be different.” 

 

Yes they will.  Thankfully.

WATCHMAN WARNING: STAY ALERT

 

 

Not an easy time or pleasant time to be alive.  Not at all.

 

For just a few paragraphs to set the stage, let’s look at this world around us.  I focus here on the US although much similarly could be said of course about other nations.  In the US so many in the national government as well as in other positions of leadership seem to be acting in such ungodly ways.  Lies pervade their daily public remarks as well as so often the remarks of many of the media that are supposed to inform the public and remain impartial.

 

This is a day of evil like none we living now have ever seen.  I know there have been pockets of untold evil in the past, and moments of evil horror such as under the Nazis in WWII and elsewhere.  But this is a general evil that permeates the lifestyles and behaviors of so many people.  Large numbers obviously do not know they are themselves not telling the truth, or they just don’t care. 

 

Lost, confused people listen to the media and the government, and being ungodly themselves they are led astray.  So we get all the wild, virulent people saying things you know are not true.  But they obviously think they are.

 

This recent assassination attempt on former President Trump has shocked many even in the mainstream community.  Let’s be honest.  Most people living have not lived as adults when there has been such a thing happen in America. 

 

People like me who have lived quite a long time remember the ultimate horror of such a happening when the leader of the country was indeed killed.  The murder of President Kennedy was a horror that still has impact.  And all those living then gradually realized – or at least most did – that we were actually not being told the truth about what had happened.  Turned out more than just the shooter were involved.  The full disclosure of the investigation has not even now been released to the public, 61 years after the fact.  And thus began in full view the time of the national government deciding what is best for the people to know and what is not.  And thus also the beginning of many not trusting the government, a lack of trust that has grown up to today when people do not trust the federal security agencies, do not believe we will be told the truth in situations, do not believe many of the leaders.

 

I write all this as background leading up to a big statement.  And this is it.

 

People, dear people, please pay attention.  The times will only get worse on earth.  We are in the very last days of this human period.  The Lord will come any moment, and I surely hope it is indeed any moment, like today for example.  The Father obviously is still drawing others to Jesus.   We know from scripture how hard it all gets as the days go by, but we believers do know that at some moment we will be taken from this confused, dark world society as the final period of true horror on earth ensues.

 

The antichrist has not yet been revealed, although surely he is waiting in the wings.  When the true believers in Jesus are taken away, he no longer has serious human opposition to his efforts to build the one-world government and the Tribulation will go forward.  Already the UN and the World Economic Forum and the World Health Organization are working towards that.

 

Remember always where the truth lies.  It lies in God, in Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, in the Bible.  Pray.  Seek to hear more always.  Live and operate in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Use the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of discernment, to survive on earth.  The Holy Spirit guides us in all truth.  He tells us of things to come.  He reminds us of things Jesus has said to us.  Remember?

 

There are large numbers of deceived, even deluded people out there, godless people whom the devil readily leads astray.  Living in the midst of all this requires wisdom on our parts and absolute attention to God’s guidance.  His words and his truths are absolute.  They are real and they work.  Remember again Jesus said his believers can do the same things he did, even greater.  Well, are you doing them?  Are you trying to do them?  Are you using God’s tools of protection?  Healing the sick?  Casting out demons?

 

I admit this is an unpleasant time.  I admit I have great difficulty looking ever at reports of what is happening on earth.  But we do need to know what is happening around us surely, so we should try to stay up to date – but just for short periods.  Don’t sit still and blindly listen and watch news programs for hours.  If you do be sure to in Jesus’ name order away from you all evil spirits.

 

You see so many of these people on television in press conferences uttering gobbledygook, lies, falsehoods, nonsense, vitriol, and you see at times they actually believe what they say.  Your heart hurts for them.  They are lost.  They don’t know the truth.  They have no foundation in truth.

 

Jesus has told me so many things about his coming, and I have shared many of them with you.  “Don’t let them go into the night” is one of his statements to me. “When I come things will be different,” is another.  Thank God for that, I say.  And here are just a few more:

 

“Tell them I am coming soon.  My people have their eyes on me.  My people tell the truth.”

 

“It will be like a beacon, like a dagger, a moment, suddenly, no light surprise.”

 

“Tell them I love them.

 

  Tell them to stay focused.

 

  Tell them I am coming soon.

 

  Tell them not to be misled.”

 

Live and operate in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pray often and in the Spirit.  Develop your spiritual senses that you will be more discerning in all situations.  And WATCH! as the Lord says.  Be ready for his return.  Stay in the right relationship with him.  Don’t get lost in this lost world in which we all are living now.

 

Remember, our physical bodies may be living in this lost world but we believers – our very selves, our spirits – have somehow been lifted up and even now are sitting with Jesus in Heaven.  Paul wrote about that in Ephesians.  Believers know Jesus.  Believers have Jesus as their Lord.  They are citizens of the Kingdom of God.  They will soon be getting a new glorious body and will be spending eternity in that Kingdom.

 

Hang in there.  He is coming soon.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: BLATANT EVIL

 

 

Recently the new governor of Arkansas referred to the bizarre things going on today in our American society as crazy.  That’s a good term but not far enough.  Evil is the word.  We are living in the last days before the Lord’s return to collect his believers and before the beginning of the Tribulation.  The devil and his legions are running amuck.  He knows his days are numbered.  They end for a time at the end of that Tribulation when he is seized and locked in a pit for a thousand years, then permanently at the end of the thousand years when he is thrown into the Lake of Fire, the eternal hell.

 

Evil.  So many people just don’t understand that term.  Oh, they know bad, but real evil?  The reason they don’t understand is that they don’t know Jesus, they aren’t born again and filled with the Spirit, they aren’t guided by the Holy Spirit in all truth, they don’t have the gift of discernment.  Most people on earth are in that group that doesn’t understand.

 

God has given to his people, the believers, tools to use in fighting evil, in protecting themselves.  I write about this often.  If you want to, go back and read our newsletter God’s Protection for You in Dangerous Times (April 2020).

 

In addition we have the guidance to take all thoughts captive to make them obedient to Christ.  In other words, we can deal with tempting evil thoughts from the devil or his demons by taking them captive and submitting them to the authority of Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5).  And that’s that.  They aren’t your thoughts.  Refuse to accept them.

 

Unbelievers, and many who attend church weekly but don’t truly know the Lord or have any understanding of what it is to be in the Kingdom of God, do not have the ability to fight off temptations of the evil one or his demons.  We know from the Bible that the devil can appear as an angel of light.  In other words, he can surely appear in an acceptable way to all these people.  By appear, I don’t necessarily mean physically appear.  I just mean in tempting thoughts and ideas his demons might whisper in some unbeliever’s mind or ear, or in some situation those demons might create that lead this person astray.

 

The evil today is in a vast array over all sorts of people.  Look at the far left government leaders and media and woke and cancel culture people and others who truly are destroying the traditional America right now while the mass of traditional Americans remain scared to speak out. 

 

For even more direct and blatant evil look at the random and wild murderers and violent felons in our society.  Just this week another  bizarre shooting incident occurred at a university killing some and injuring some.  Almost never do we get to hear these killers speak.  But we did recently when a woman who killed her children and tried to kill herself said a voice told her to do that.  Guess what voice that is?  Only one guess allowed.  Obviously the evil side, the devil or one of his demons.  And why would she accept such a voice and actually act on it?  Because she had no internal way to resist, none of God’s tools, no ability to order the evil spirits away, to take the thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.  She was just a tool for the devil.

 

Evil.  It is real.  It is not something to be played with.  Every day of our lives, Cathy and I put on the armor God has for us as described by Paul in Ephesians 6, we thank him for the angels he has sent to serve us (and that service surely includes protection), and we in Jesus’ name order away from us all evil spirits and other harmful things as well such as harmful germs, bacteria, viruses, allergens, fungus, pests.  We do that first thing in the morning and before we go to sleep.  And when we come away from meeting others or being in a store or hospital, we surely do that again! 

 

This is a difficult time we are in.  You as time goes on may encounter more and more truly guided by the evil one.  Look at those espousing transgender treatments and teachings for very young children in the schools, not telling the parents.  Or the endless pushing of the homosexual lifestyle considered an abomination by God, or the steady destruction of the economy of the nation and the destruction of its makeup and culture, and so on. 

 

This evil carries over into the religious world  where so many refuse to teach and preach the full power gospel and do not teach or operate in the Holy Spirit and his gifts or do not teach at all the imminent return of Jesus.  That is all just wrong.  I suppose you could say that maybe that is not evil in this instance so much as ignorance on the part of the pastors and churches.  Maybe.  In any event, teachers are held to a higher standard, the Bible tells us.  Lots of people surely are going to be held to that statement. 

 

Maybe worse, although I am not sure of that, are some people who claim to be prophets and act like that, giving out all sorts of false predictions of future events.  The Holy Spirit indeed does tell God’s believers of things to come, that is true.  He has told me many things I have shared with you all.  But there are surely charlatans out there leading people astray with false prophesy.  You must always test any prophetic words you hear against God’s words in the Bible.

 

I say to you what Jesus said about today:  Watch that you are not deceived.  And I say what he warned about a few words later:  Watch out for false prophets.

 

Evil is in its heyday.  We know how far afield and extraordinary this evil can become when we remember the horrors of the Nazis in WWII and the behavior of the SS and the concentration camps.  Or the behavior of Stalin in Russia or the  killing fields of Cambodia.  Evil dominating the minds of unbelievers is terrifying.  But we do have the protection written about above.  Don’t be caught napping and unprotected.

 

You are the light of the world.  You have the gifts of God if you will use them.  And you are the Lord’s representatives to a dark world  In all you do ask the Holy Spirit to guide your days and arrange all encounters he would have you have.  Acknowledge the Lord every opportunity you get, and help the Father in his leading people to Christ by sharing the gospel as possible and as you are guided.

 

Remember, Jesus is never going to lose you.  The Lord will indeed rescue you from every evil deed and bring you safely into his heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18).

* WATCHMAN WARNING! - SILENCE

 “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” (Dietrich Bonhoeffer)

 

 

The famous German pastor killed by the Nazi government in WWII wrote this many years ago.  It applied directly to what he was seeing around him.  And its truth applies to us today.

 

I would suggest all believers in the Lord will have ample opportunity to deal with this observation in these last days and to decide whether they are going to be silent or to speak out and act.

 

Evil abounds in our society. The movement to the one-world government is going ahead full steam.  What do you think this global warming movement is all about?  Yes, I know, naïve and confused people – especially young college students – are ardent about the subject.  But the fact remains it is an effort to bring the world under one government.   And much more.  At the recent meeting in Egypt of world leaders on this subject, the issue of population again came up.  Some of these leaders and other elite firmly believe there are too many people in the world.  Terrifying.  These are terrifying leaders.  The World Economic Forum which is so at the front of this movement is terrifying.  The UN is terrifying.  

 

At least, all these should be terrifying to all believers who realize what they are doing and where this is heading. 

 

Sadly, most people on earth haven’t got a clue.

 

Many millions in the US just elected or reelected persons fully supporting this movement, whether they realize that or not.  They reelected persons fully behind the terrible policies of the transgender movement, including all that is being taught and brought before children in public schools.  They reelected persons who fully back the LGBTQ movement, although this lifestyle is anathema to God.

 

They reelected persons who back the recent government actions that are destroying the American economy and society.

 

They reelected persons who are ok with violent criminals being released back on the streets and thus the soaring crime rate in many large cities.

 

They haven’t got a clue.

 

In the last days so many are deceived.  And to those who refuse to accept the truth (of the gospel, of Jesus), God sends a spirit of delusion.  These people thus eventually are lost people.  I fear many we see and hear doing such irrational things and speaking and backing such bizarre and irrational and harmful actions are just those people.

 

So how are you going to live and act these remaining days before Jesus comes? 

 

Are you going to be out there seeking to do what you can to help God the Father draw others to Jesus, always with the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

 

Are you going to stand up for Jesus wherever and whenever needed?  You never know when the moment will be that suddenly the Lord is being trashed and dumped on and you are the only one in the room who knows him and can speak up or act in opposition to all that.  You need to decide now how you are going to act and what you are going to do.

 

Remember  Matthew 10:32-33:

 

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.  But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

 

Obviously in all your words and actions you must be guided by the Holy Spirit.  So pray about all this.  Every day ask the Holy Spirit to orchestrate your day, to arrange all the encounters he would have you have.  Ask for more and more wisdom in representing Jesus in every situation.

 

Silence in the face of evil is evil.  We don’t need Dietrich Bonhoeffer to tell us that.

WATCHMAN WARNING: MOMENTOUS

 

A momentous election is upon us in the United States.

 

Far more important than that of course is the imminent return of Jesus.  But surely all believers want Jesus to find us out there working for him and the gospel right up to the time he comes.  And don’t we all want to be living in as good and decent a place as possible these remaining days?

 

This election gives us all that opportunity.  It gives us a chance to take a stand against the out and out evil and wrong-thinking of many politicians in our government these past months.  It gives us all a chance to vote for what we can perceive are the best candidates, the ones who are true Christians or at least have basic Christian values and who have the backbone to stand up for honesty and decency and truth.

 

On the local and national level we have seen action after action supporting issues that bring the country down, destroy the economy, damage the basic fundamental values of America that come from the Bible and the Constitution.  We have seen apparently confused or flat out evil politicians take stands that support criminals over the victims of crime, with the result that in many cities today citizens fear to go about the city, to ride public transportation, basically just to live.  We have seen local district attorneys elected who will not support law and order but over and over release terrible criminals onto the streets. 

 

Throughout the land many good citizens are volunteering to take positions such as poll observer during the election in the hope of having fairer and more honest elections than we have seen in recent years.  Let’s pray that indeed happens.

 

The goals right now should be to turn around many governments at all levels – governor, mayor, local school boards and councils, and Congress itself.  Many Americans throughout my lifetime have tried to focus on working to support their families, on having a home and a car and a vacation and perhaps going to sports events or some other recreation.  Those are all good things in themselves.  But these Americans have not wanted to focus on issues of politics and government, with the result being we have ended up with the atrocious leaders the nation and many cities and states have now.

 

There are still people who think the nation is doing well, and we only have to wonder how they think.  We still even have some Christians who just seem not to be aware of all that is happening.  Well, we know from prophecy and scripture what I have written often about, how Jesus warned us not to be deceived in these last days in which we are living.  Deception is rampant on earth today. 

 

I just write to encourage you to vote and to think seriously about each position.  Seek God's guidance.   It is not about whose personality you like the most.  It is about who you think would do the best for you and your family, for your children, for your community, and for the nation.  We all should try to make these last days as good as we possibly can, instead of a steadily deteriorating society heading toward an apparent lawless, godless, out of control hell on earth.  We know from the Bible that times get tougher and tougher as we near the return, but surely we can stand against that tide to the extent possible and be doing so when the Lord returns.  And of course, always, we surely can and should be representing Jesus in all opportunities and as the Holy Spirit guides.

*SIGN OF THE TIMES: SOMETHING IS PROFOUNDLY WRONG

I recently saw the above phrase in the heading of a news article.  The author was referring to the terrible truly random acts of atrocious violence in NY City.  Really crazy violence is occurring steadily there, such as groups suddenly beating up teenage girls on subways or an individual suddenly punching an old lady in the face or sculling some man with a hard object. 

Well, something is profoundly wrong is an obvious conclusion from any rational person looking at such acts there and in many other large cities.  It makes no sense.  Where did all these truly evil people come from?  What is going on?

You know there is more of an answer to this.  We are in the last days before Jesus’ return.  The devil is running amuck.  His time is limited.  People who are not born again and do not have the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit have no discernment of truth versus falsehood – they are ready prey for the evil one and his demons.  They are easily led astray.  They are easily deceived.  That’s who these people are who are committing these atrocious acts. You are not going to be able to sit down and reason with them.  I think you and any sane person know that.  These are people who truly need to be dealt with by serious law and order steps.  They need to be arrested and taken off the streets so they will not be in a position to harm others.

Yet there are people we know on the far left of the political spectrum and occupying seats high in government and in media and elsewhere who think  that enforcement of law and order needs to be diminished.  They think a move in favor of the criminal is called for – less punishment, free violent people on bail, and so forth.

How can anyone think like that in light of what is happening?  Well, I write again – people who are not born again and do not have the Holy Spirit and his gifts cannot discern truth from falsehood.  They are easily deceived and led astray.  Who specializes in doing that?  The devil of course.  And thus these people are truly deceived.  You are not going to be able to sit and have a rational discussion with them either.  They are just as dangerous, maybe more than the individuals committing the violent acts.

As the Bible states, people who refuse to accept the truth – God’s truth – are eventually given over to delusion.  That’s where many of these bizarre people are today.  We have never seen this before have we?  No we haven’t.  It is frightening and terrible.  And it is amazing so many have achieved such positions of power.

These are the last days.  Jesus is coming soon.  Believers wish he would come tonight.  Well, maybe he will.  We don’t know the specific time, just that obviously his coming is soon.  Of course, believers also hope and wish more would see the light and become true believers in Jesus.

All of us still must represent Jesus on this earth.  We must stand up for him.  We must help the Father in his leading others to Jesus by speaking to them anytime the Holy Spirit draws us to do so, anytime he arranges his divine encounters.  And all of us must pray to the Father that he would draw these people – specific ones by name, more general ones by group – to a saving knowledge of Jesus.  No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws that person to Jesus.  But we can help in this.

• IT IS TIME TO TAKE STOCK OF WHAT YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH ON EARTH IN THE SHORT TIME YOU HAVE LEFT HERE.

 

 

The rest of the world may not know what is happening, but somehow you have been blessed to know.  Living amidst deluded and lost people is difficult and surely frustrating, but you do know the truth. 

 

The evil one and all his minions, regardless of what you call them, are running amuck.  People who do not know the Lord are easily led astray and they are and have been.  We see them every day and hear them speaking out – in the halls of government, in the media, everywhere.  We hope that more and more will be led to Christ before he comes, but it still appears that the great portion of humanity will be left here when Jesus’ believers depart.  All of us I hope are doing what we are led to do in trying to help in God’s drawing people to Jesus.  But people do have to be open to be drawn, you know.  It is God’s elect who will be going.  God of course knows who they are.

 

Any of those elect who do not make it to Heaven in this round will have the opportunity during the Tribulation, but that will be terrible in the extreme, not a good time to be alive.

 

Surely we must use the tools God has given us to protect ourselves in this increasingly dangerous time.  Anyone who steps out for God steps into the arena.  And who is in the arena?  The evil side. 

 

There is a wonderful series of 3 books published way back in the 1600’s called THE CHRISTIAN IN COMPLETE ARMOR.  It was written by William Gurnall.  Reading it is a wonderful spiritual experience.  Speaking of this battle against evil, some of his great lines are :

 

The outcome of the battle rests on God’s performance, not on your skill or strength

 

Once you realize that God is omnipotent, is in charge of your life, you will quit worrying about how to fight your enemies.

 

The length of a man’s combat with Satan measures the same as the length of his life.  …When he becomes a saint, the struggle increases.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: EVIL - WHAT BELIEVERS KNOW AND UNBELIEVERS DO NOT

  

Evil is real.  Evil is a person.  It is the devil, Satan, Lucifer, the evil one, whatever you want to call him, and all his minions.  One third of the angels followed the devil.

 

God is real too, and Jesus Christ.

 

Right now in time, this devil is the ruler of the earth.  The whole world is under the control of the evil one.  John the disciple said that in 1 John 5:19.

 

The god of this age (the devil) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  Paul said that in 2 Corinthians 4:4.

 

He is the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.  Paul said that too, in Ephesians 2:2.

 

Lots of Christians and denominations miss these very important points.  Yes of course Jesus defeated the devil in going to and through the cross and yes believers in Jesus indeed are in the Kingdom of God already and have great protections against this evil one and his dark kingdom if they use what God has provided them.  And yes Jesus is coming soon to gather his sheep and shortly thereafter to win the battle against evil at Armageddon and lock this devil in a deep pit.

 

All these people on earth who do not know the Lord, who are not in the Kingdom of God, are ready prey for the devil and his many evil spirits, his demons.  His lies, his deception work readily in people who cannot discern the truth.  All these many people do not know about putting on the armor of God.  They do not know about the authority the believer has to cast out demons.  They do not have the protection that God has sent to his believers in the form of angels he sends to serve all those who will inherit salvation.  They don’t know any of that.

 

They are easily led astray.  Look every day at the terrible acts of evil you read about or hear about, depraved acts of individuals and groups, horrible crimes, terrible actions like those of the shooter in Uvalde Texas.  Look at the behavior of some people near you, maybe even family members who do not know Jesus.  Their behavior may not be as horribly violent as that of this shooter or the criminals committing all the atrocities on the streets of some big cities today, but they are still lost and have no protection against this evil one whenever he chooses to lead them astray.

 

All this talk about mental illness and guns and homes without fathers and drugs and so on…all serious subjects to be sure, but all side issues.  The real issue is that the devil and his minions are running amuck now in the world in these last of the last days.  And those without Jesus are lost and ready prey.  Leaders of the nation without Jesus have no idea of what is really happening.  Neither do media or entertainers or business executives or university presidents without Jesus. 

 

That is the world you live in now.  It is not a pleasant peaceful place.  But this is the truth.  To the extent possible this evil one surely will attempt to attack believers in the Lord, especially whenever they let their guard down or stray from the faith in any way.  And he will most assuredly attack through others close to the believers, through unbelieving friends and family.  Or maybe through other factors, like finances or business or whatever.

 

It all comes back to that basic truth of Keeping Your Eyes on Jesus, of staying in the faith, of using the tools God has provided.  Watch that you are not deceived, and use that wonderful gift of the Spirit, discernment.  And always remember, Jesus is not going to lose you.

*SIGN OF THE TIMES: SOMETIMES LIFE DOESN'T TURN OUT THE WAY WE THOUGHT IT WOULD

 

Recently, to my surprise, I discovered that in just a few hours 8 people had gone to an article I wrote way back in 2015 that is stored in our blog.  I was shocked!  I don’t have links anywhere to lead anyone to that specific article.  How did they ever find it?  How much time did they search in that blog before getting there? 

 

What was the articles title?  The very words I put as the title above.

 

Evil is soaring in these days, together with its friends deception and delusion.  And we believers in the Lord Jesus are living in increasingly morally bankrupt nations with atrocious governments and lost godless leaders, people who just don’t know what to do.

 

I have been thinking about the latest bad news, the attack of Russia on Ukraine, a type of action we might have expected Russia to take way back in the 40’s or 30’s under Stalin but certainly not today.  It’s the same old terrible principle that “might makes right,” a principle King George VI of the United Kingdom declared could not be allowed to stand in his speech to inspire his subjects at the beginning of WW II.  But to the dismay and I expect shock of most people on earth now it is standing today in the Ukraine where a big bully is stomping on a bold and courageous smaller nation.  This all reminds me of the playground bully who beats up on a smaller kid while all the other kids stand watching.  The US government and much of NATO today stand and watch. 

 

Right now we are living in the most difficult times most of us have ever seen, an atrocious world system that seems to be moving ever more into the pit of disarray and evil.  Most people I am sure never saw this coming.  We are right now in the last remaining short time before the Lord returns.  We see evil being called good and good being called evil every day.  We see apparently godless people in leadership positions in government and other fields.  We see truly inane comments and actions by leaders, such as the remark of a formal presidential candidate that he hopes the Russia invasion of the Ukraine does not slow down the climate control movement (as if that should even be considered in comparison to the horror in the Ukraine.).  It all is terrifying for many.

Do read it!  It is real and considering the mayhem in which we live now I think it puts much of life in perspective.  I don’t publish anything the Holy Spirit has not guided me to write and to publish.  And I think I was led to this article again just as the eight who suddenly found it recently.

 

You must keep your eyes on Jesus now in these days.  You must stay focused.  There is so much deception and lying going on all around.  You must use the gift of discernment to tell truth from falsehood.  Be guided by the Holy Spirit.  Remember, Jesus said the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth.  He even will show us what is to come.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: TODAY'S ATTROCIOUS WORLD SYSTEM

  

Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter. – Isaiah 5:20

 

That is our world today.  These scriptures are fulfilled greatly in our time.  And God has more to say on this point:

 

²¹ Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.

 

^…
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice to the innocent.

 

Sounds like people we know…leaders of this age, politicians, media giants, entertainment leaders, business leaders. 

 

When, believers ask, will the people wake up.  When will they begin to speak out, to challenge the insanity and the evil of the current age?

 

That, I do not know.  I think hopefully more and more will challenge and speak out as we near the Lord’s return.  Even if things are in great disarray and evil is everywhere when he comes back, hopefully he will find his believers still standing up for him and truth, representing him every chance possible.

 

These are horrible, morally atrocious days.  Truth and honesty and rational thinking have disappeared.

 

You probably read recently of a female college swim meet where a physical male who considers himself a female won events for the University of Pennsylvania while a similar male from Yale University who considers himself a female was among those competing against him.  True physical women cannot compete physically against true physical males.  All those women’s groups that fought for sports equality for women and for funding for women’s sports, why are they so silent now?  Everything they fought for is being destroyed. 

 

An Indiana insurance company CEO reported that deaths of clients it covers in the prime 18-64 year old range increased by 40% in 2021!  That is catastrophic!  It is unheard of in the history of the insurance business.  And these deaths are not from covid.  No, other sources.  I suggest how about stress, heart attacks, cancer, illegal drugs, and other terrible things exacerbated by an unthinking government and a medical establishment that focused almost exclusively on covid.

 

A Harvard educator just spoke out about the tens of thousands of abuse incidents against children that went unreported during the lockdown because – you get it – the schools were not open and the teachers were not there to see or hear or recognize the assaults and report them.

 

The list of astounding and shocking things never ends!

 

The sales price of homes in the country is skyrocketing, as people interested in buying or selling should know.  Soon it will be really difficult for many to buy a home.  I had thought that perhaps all those trapped in small homes and apartments during the lockdown had decided never again and were out there trying to get bigger places to live.  That might still be true but get this:  It has now been reported that investment firms are buying about 20% of these homes at significant prices – and thus in the reselling they are really driving up the prices. 

 

The Rockefeller Foundation has just released a report called “Reset the Table,” and it calls for a global central government to control the world’s food supply.  You don’t have to be a genius to see the implications for all.  Just more of the one-world planning.

 

Cruise ships continue to leave port with all passengers and crew vaccinated, yet almost immediately covid breaks out on the ship and ports do not allow the ships to enter.  This happened recently on a cruise to Mexico and one to the Caribbean. 

 

The new DA for Manhattan has announced a plan to be very soft on criminal offenders in all but the most serious crimes.  For example an armed robber can expect not to be prosecuted.  So you could walk on the streets of NY City, be robbed by someone sticking a gun in your side, and realize that he will never be prosecuted.  The DA has been surprised to hear that some people are upset by his policies!

 

The approach of this DA, like those of Los Angeles and other West Coast cities, are apparently funded by the mysterious billionaire George Soros.  We all have to wonder how they ever get elected, but then we really know:  many voters do not pay great attention to what candidates actually plan to do and are just influenced by ads and such.

 

Except for a few public demonstrations, most people in America and apparently in other countries who recognize or are terrified of what is happening just remain at home terrified.  A few have spoken out – the parents of children being terribly misled in schools by teaching and promotion of transgenderism and critical race theory are now challenging school boards.  Apparently attacking the children has finally waked up a few parents.  But did you notice how the federal government in the Justice Department established plans to begin investigating such parents who stand up and speak out at School Board meetings?   Doesn’t sound like America does it?  Well, this is not America today.  It is a new world, and not a nice one.

 

We are steadily moving toward the Lord’s return.  He did warn us of how terrible the times would be.  To the extent you can and the Holy Spirit leads, we should all be doing whatever we can to help the Father lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

 

There are massively misled millions and billions out there in the world.  Lost people.  You know the truth.  Keep your eyes on Jesus.  Stay focused.  Read the Bible.  Try to be around other true believers.  And always seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  He leads us in all truth, Jesus said.  He tells us of things to come.

 

By the way, some of those doing all the misleading are in the religious world.  So many churches do not teach of the imminent return of the Lord, nor do they apparently even point out the great evils of our day.  I just noted a piece by one who believes there is no rapture, that there will just be a giant spiritual awakening on earth and that awakening is the return of Christ.  No, that is not it.  Just as it is not true that all people go to Heaven.  Some think that as well.  You must be alert and protect yourself and your family from falsehood.  Be ready for almost any bizarre statements or actions.  These are the last days.  And if you are a true believer, Jesus is not going to lose you.

 

Remember, his very first warning is to watch out that you are not deceived!  At the very end of that chapter - Luke 21 - he gives his ultimate advice:  Watch …and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.  He wants you to be ready and alert to his coming.  And in the right relationship with him, not distracted by something else.

 

So always, always do what we always say:  KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS!

WATCHMAN WARNING! - THE SPIRITUAL WAR

  

We are living in a spiritual war that for humankind has been going on since the fall of Adam and Eve.  That war is reaching its culmination.  It is almost over.

 

Although I don’t usually if ever get this specific, let me now.  This battle is between the leader of the evil side, Lucifer – also known as Satan, the devil, the evil one – together with his followers against God and his Kingdom.  We know who wins, don’t we?  God does.  Jesus does.  The Kingdom of God eventually takes up rule from Jerusalem.

 

This atrocious war is reaching a climax on the physical planet earth in our day.  Yes, it exists on two fronts – in the spiritual realm and in the physical realm where we live, where the evil forces of the devil have been making startling headway in recent years.

 

The current government of the US – the administration in Washington, the congress, all the bureaucracies and institutions there – by their very actions are bringing to our minds the thing the founding fathers feared and dreaded.  What is that?  That a democracy might not work.  That leaving the choice of leaders in the hands of the people might be a mistake.

 

Up to now the people and the country have proved that fear wrong, and many other nations and peoples have sought to copy the US.  But not now.

 

One bad decision after another is happening in Washington.  The administration seems bent on destroying the country completely, both internally and in the eyes of other nations.  And the leaders of congress seem to be focused on anything other than things that might help.  It does appear the American people have turned their nation over to confused, evil, bad, and incompetent people. 

 

Just recently a former president in his penchant for bold statements, declared the US would not survive three more years.  It is hard to argue with him.  Other people are writing of how the nation is coming apart at the seams.

 

Well, you and I know that I generally focus on the spiritual side of things, and the fact that we are in the last of the last days before the Lord’s return is a point I make over and over.  But that does not mean we should just quit trying to improve life on earth.  And certainly we should not stop trying to help in God’s leading others to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

 

I would think we all want Jesus to find us – when he comes – fully occupied in doing the work he has given us.  What work?  Whatever he has told you directly and certainly his statements in the Bible.  For instance, telling others about the gospel.  Preaching/teaching/sharing the good news.  Healing the sick.  Casting out demons. 

 

And standing up against evil!!!! He gave us the authority to cast out evil spirits, and we need to do that on a daily basis.  What do you think you are seeing happen in Washington and in the national media and in business leaders and entertainment?  Lots and lots of evidence of the actions of absolute evil.  Many of the people in these top positions are pretty obviously ungodly people.  If there are some strong believers in Washington, they are pretty much invisible right now.

 

Daily we see prominent leaders from the president on down call good evil and evil good.  They fail to recognize the absurdity of many of their actions.  They are living in the delusion that I have written about so much in recent years.  The point is made in Thessalonians that eventually God gives people who refuse to accept or recognize the truth (e.g., the gospel) a spirit of delusion.  That has to be the explanation for what we are seeing.  Deluded people.  Confused people.  People who do not know the Lord and do not know how to protect themselves spiritually being led astray by the evil one and his minions.

 

The devil knows his days are numbered.  He knows the end of the book.  And he is working feverishly to bring about the one-world government we have talked about.  Look at all that is happening.  Amazing.  The world is moving steadily to that one-world government. 

 

Spiritually, as Christians know, the evil one – the devil – is running amuck.  He knows the Bible.  HE knows these are his last days before he is seized at Armageddon and thrown into a pit.  His lieutenant, the antichrist, is soon to be revealed.  This individual, with assistance from the false prophet, will work to put together and run a one-world government, an ungodly government with a false universal religion.  There are basic requirements in his government, such as everyone having a mark on their hand or head to allow them to participate in the marketplace.  This is one reason why the current covid vaccine with government mandates frightened so many – they saw all this as a precursor of this mark.  Some may have even mistakenly thought it was the mark.

 

I did note recently that Andrew Wommack, one of my favorite ministers who did pray for Cathy and me several times when we started our ministry, has with some others started an organization called Truth and Liberty to try to get serious Christian believers into government.  Good to see such an effort.  We need more of this.  Maybe you should search for that on the Internet and see what they are doing.

 

I just want you all to know how dire the situation currently is for the US and the world.  Now some of us expected such as this in the last days.  But I don’t think all Christians did.  I think some just thought that at some point Jesus would come back, not that he would be coming back in such a terrible time.  But the Bible is pretty clear of the times and what would be happening.  Jesus was clear.  Paul was clear.

 

Always, my closing point:  Keep your eye on Jesus.  And be about the Lord’s work.  You have joy and peace all these other people do not have.  So do your best to carry forward the work of the Lord and the Kingdom and to represent Jesus on earth in really trying situations.

WATCHMAN WARNING! GROSS INSANITY: THE ACTIONS AND BEHAVIOR OF THE US GOVERNMENT IN THE LAST DAYS

  

Surely you all can recognize and see what is happening.  The decisions and actions of the government have gone way over the edge.  Things are truly falling apart.  The nation is being led by delusional persons who deal in deception, whether they even understand the deception or not.

 

The Bible’s famous phrase about calling evil good and good evil has come to full reality in our day.

 

Over and over again I have written of all that is happening and how it is all in line with fulfillment of the Biblical prophecies of the last days.  Each day and week that passes brings another action or absurdity that fits right in. 

 

Today I just read how the government is requiring each of the border patrol officers to have the covid vaccine.  All at the same time that thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants openly enter the country, camp out, and move on to various parts of America with no vaccines.  It is impossible to overstate how insane this is.

 

Yesterday we witnessed top military leaders testify before the senate how they recommended a few thousand of our military be left in Afghanistan after our withdrawal, and even how if that were not done the Afghan military would be overcome.  The point was made that the president surely had these recommendations.  Yet he did not follow them and the withdrawal was a disaster in full view of the entire world.

 

Right now as we speak Americans and Afghan allies are in Afghanistan, hiding out, trying to survive and figure a way out.  The horrible Taliban is in charge.  We all know – at least all adults who can think and read know – how horrible and medieval that group is.  Already they have started schools again, but this time with no girls attending.  Recently a woman policeman was killed in front of her family.  And a folk musician was killed because the Taliban does not like music (a representative said music is forbidden in Islam)..  A couple days ago I saw they were putting up a dead body for public view in Kabul and had three more to put up elsewhere.

 

These are godless, lost people under the direction of the evil one, terrible people.  If this were the time of Moses and Joshua leading the Israelites from Egypt and through the wilderness to the Promised Land, I would expect the Taliban to be a tribe God would have instructed them to completely destroy.  Like the battle of Jericho where the Israelites destroyed everything – not only the people but the animals even.  He did not want the evil spirits there coming back to the Israelites.  This is fundamental evil playing out through human beings.

 

Our leaders in the US are lost people.  And they are making horribly harmful decisions.  I know these are the last days and we all expect the Lord to come very soon, but surely we did not want the place we live to fall completely into mad, lawless, insane society.  But of course we were warned of the conditions of our time.  Jesus told us how bad they would be.  Paul told us of these times. 

 

Each of us as possible must represent the Lord with others in all our encounters.  Ask the Holy Spirit to set up whatever divine encounters he will and to guide you in those.

 

I do see that a few in the country are working to put together organizations to elect new leaders in future elections in the country.  Andrew Womack, certainly a godly minister who has influenced many including Cathy and me, has with others formed a Truth and Liberty organization to try to get better people elected.  But it is more than a year before any new people could take office in congress and more than three years before a new president and administration could take office.  Will the country be surviving in any tolerable condition by then?  Look at all the terrible decisions and actions that have occurred in just the short period since January 20.

 

I have written before of how America went off the spiritual cliff back in 2015 when the Supreme Court ruled to approve homosexual marriage.  Just in the last week I read another Christian writer who said that on January 20 of this year the shining light that was America went out.  Those are dramatic ways to make a point, but it is surely true that no longer can our allies trust America and that people throughout the world must look with amazement and wonder on all that is happening here. (Perhaps we now have an illustration of how the system in the United Kingdom and other parliamentary governments possibly may be preferable to the American one – with a vote of no confidence in parliament, a new election leading to a new prime minister can be held quickly at any time.).

 

KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS IN ALL THINGS!  Stay focused.  Seek to hear and receive all the Holy Spirit has for you.  If you do not know the Holy Spirit, seek to be filled and baptized with him.  His guidance in all truth, his telling of what is to come, his great gift of discernment which you can use to determine the truth in all situations are invaluable today.
