God the Father and the Lord Jesus have given believers the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Those baptized in the Spirit have wonderful gifts, including the important gift of discernment, or discerning of spirits.  They are able to discern when they are being lied to, when they are confronting falsehood.  People without that gift don’t have that direct ability.  They have to try to figure things out.  They are easily misled.  They are the overwhelming majority of people in America and on earth today.

 

Even a very average intellect can see the dinner at the Washington Hilton hotel did not have adequate security.  People could come and go in the hotel.  After all, it is a private hotel.

 

The shooter was able to assemble a weapon not far from that event.

 

Officials praise and thank the Secret Service and other security for stopping the shooter.  And indeed they need to be thankful for that. But what if this attacker had had a bomb or some other such device?  He would have been right there and could have set it off.  We might be writing about a real horror today. 

 

This is just more pure evil in the last days.  I saw the headline in the NY Post shortly after the event.  The main headline was “EVIL.”  They had it right.  That’s it.  Most media and most government leaders just do not get it because they don’t know and they don’t have that discernment gift.

 

Evil is pervasive in these last days.  Why didn’t we hear that from the political leaders and the commentators?

 

As to the fact that no one was seriously injured or killed, thanks go of course to God.  Why didn’t we hear that from everyone? 

 

Reflecting  after the fact, why hold such an event in such an obviously insecure place? 

 

And to top all this I am thinking about the fact that this atrocious US Congress has not approved a bill to pay salaries for the Secret Service and other essential groups charged with protecting the President and Americans in general.

 

In the last days, God turns those who refuse to accept the truth over to a spirit of delusion.  It surely appears that this has been and is happening right now.  Many of the confused and out-of-control  disruptive people in our day seem highly deluded, unable to discuss things rationally.  But sadly so too are many who quietly occupy positions of authority but seem incapable of coming to a meaningful understanding of what is going on and incapable of needed action,

 

Many of the people we see every day are clearly godless.   They don’t know Jesus.  They haven’t been born again.  They don’t have the Holy Spirit and the gifts.  And they stumble around, some in leadership roles in all fields and some in roles of out of control rebels.

 

Frightening.

 

Jesus is coming soon.  Believers know that.  He can’t come soon enough for most.

 

I remember words the Lord said to me on this subject years ago:  

 

“When I come things will be different.” 

 

Yes they will.  Thankfully.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 7:21

[No subject is more important than how a person gets into the Kingdom of God, into Heaven.  Below is an article from a newsletter three years ago that focused specifically on this.  I think it is time right now to post it again here.]

Some consider the title above the most frightening verse in the Bible. I expect you haven’t heard any sermons preached on this one, have you? 

 For a very long time in our modern day, the churches have doted on the fact that a person has to do nothing to be in Heaven, in the Kingdom of God, other than just believe in Jesus. 

 Well, certainly, a person physically does not have to do anything to be in Heaven, in the Kingdom. Jesus paid the price for each of us to get there. That is the basis for the statement that it is by grace we have been saved and not by works. 

 But Jesus did say several verses that bear on being in the Kingdom of God. In the Bible, all these verses have to be considered. They are all said by Jesus. We have to put them all together. You can’t just read one and ignore the others. You can’t pick and choose scripture. 

There is the most famous verse in the Bible – John 3:16 – 16 

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 

I have said over and over in so many paces that this “belief” here is solid belief, like you believe there is enough oxygen in the room in which you are living to keep you alive; otherwise, you would be running out the door. In other words, absolute belief. Not that modern way we often use the word believe in normal conversation, which is much weaker. 

But then there is this fundamental verse, the one Jesus said when he was speaking to Nicodemus in John 3:5:

  “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 

So there has to be a real spiritual rebirth. Back in John 1 the writer notes that it is as if God himself becomes our father. In fact, the Good News Translation actually says that directly: 

Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God's children. 13 They did not become God's children by natural means, that is, by being born as the children of a human father; God himself was their Father. (Good News Translation) – Emphasis added by me. 

And then we have the verse in the title. This is said in a section where people have come to tell Jesus all they have been doing in his name. Unfortunately for them, he says he never knew them. So they don’t get into the Kingdom obviously. They may have been doing good works but they missed the point. They weren’t doing the will of God. They didn’t focus on knowing Jesus. Here is the full section from which the title was taken: 

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ – Matthew 7 

 Now if that isn’t disturbing enough, there is one more verse in Matthew 18: 

2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 

 In other words, a person must be as innocent and believing as a little child. 

So we have several key scriptures right out of the mouth of Jesus himself, reported to us by the disciples John and Matthew. Pretty good witnesses, I’d say. 

Yes, we of course must have absolute belief. But we also must live to fulfill God’s will as we understand it. And we must be born again, born anew. We must have that new spirit in us. We have to become the new creation Paul refers to when he says in 2 Corinthians 5 that the old has gone and the new has come. 

This is all serious business indeed! Really serious. 

Just going and sitting in a church week after week and hearing sermons does not do it. And just saying you believe in Jesus apparently on its own is not enough, at least not unless you have that rock solid belief. I fear so many of those who think they are Christians are going to have a big surprise soon. Back to the title scripture. Just how does anyone do the will of God? Well, I think Jesus put it best when he said these two scriptures: 

14 You are my friends if you do what I command. – John 15:14  

15 “If you love me, keep my commands.– John 14:15 3 

Basically, do what Jesus tells you to do if you want to be his friend and if you love him. I would think that would fit in with doing God’s will. 

If you have the Holy Spirit living in you, if you have been baptized with the Spirit, you want to do God’s will and you will generally know that in the situations you encounter. That all comes with being born again and being filled with and baptized with the Holy Spirit. 

I wrote about what it takes to get into Heaven in Chapter 11 in our book WAKE UP AMERICA! And we produced a CD on that and also did two television programs titled “Getting into Heaven” which you can watch on YOUTUBE and our website. It’s an incredibly important subject, not one to be ignored. And surely not at this time. 

Only two real groups of people are on earth now: Those who know Jesus and already are his believers, members of the Kingdom of God, and those who don’t and aren’t. This second group is lost. Unless something happens that opens the eyes of people in this second group so they can see the truth and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they are not going to have a good future. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS!

WATCHMAN WARNING: WHAT IS HAPPENING?

 

That is a question I expect on the minds of many believers.  We are so very close to the return of the Lord.  And now we see a bold change in the government of the US that will surely lead to a move away from the trend to the one world government that was so well underway.  A very few other places have had a similar change in government, such as Argentina, but not many.  The UN, the World Economic Forum, and others all continue to work towards the one-world government.

 

So what does this mean?  Still and most obviously, we all should be alert to all that is happening as the Lord has warned us in Luke 21:36, and be ready to go when he comes.

 

Beyond that, let me say that nothing has changed regarding our being so close to the return of Jesus.  All those prophecies fulfilled, everything is still in line for that.  His coming to collect his sheep could happen anytime.

 

Here are some interesting insights regarding the newly elected government in the US:

 

• There seems to be some talk about encouraging the building of the third temple in Jerusalem. Well, that does need to be ready by the middle of the Tribulation when the antichrist comes to take up residence there, but that building could all happen during the early years of the Tribulation.  Still, it is interesting to hear this being discussed!

• The newly nominated secretary of defense himself has spoken of the need to build the temple on a specific spot on the temple mount.

  

• The newly appointed ambassador to Israel under the new administration is a strong supporter of Israel, as are several in the new administration

• Likely, we shall see a return to the efforts of the previous Trump administration to bring about a peace accord with Israel and its many neighbors. You may remember the successful Abraham accords that brought some Arab nations  to an improved relationship with Israel.

 

 

• In the election on November 5, the overwhelming number of evangelical Christians voted for President Trump. Similarly, the great number of Catholics voted for President Trump.  But, sadly and shockingly, the overwhelming number of Jews in the US voted for the losing side, the socialist government that was leading the US into the one-world government and that does not strongly support Israel.  It seems inconceivable, but then we have to realize these people do not know Jesus.  And for that matter, so many are not even serious Jews, rather being ethnic Jews.  Well, the time of their coming face to face with truth is near at hand, just not yet.

All this is interesting surely.  But then you and I know a bit more.  We know that once a true peace agreement is signed by Israel that the people believe in so much they live in unwalled villages, the seven year Tribulation begins.  In fact, it begins the moment that agreement is signed.  And the individual who clearly leads that to come about is the antichrist.

 

We also have noticed all the interaction between Russia and Turkey and Iran in recent years.  All that is leading up to their attack on Israel in the Ezekiel 38-39 war, an attack that is obviously repelled by God in a way all should recognize his hand.  That attack will happen early in the Tribulation period, for the people are living in unwalled villages when it occurs the Bible says.

 

I do have one other overriding comment:  the new administration is not yet in office.  It seems an eerily quiet period in the US.  We all should be praying for peace and safety for all involved as this goes forward.

 

We should still expect the Lord’s return to collect his believers before the beginning of the Tribulation, for as we have noted so many times, in several places the Bible notes we were not appointed to suffer wrath.  Besides, the antichrist will not be free on earth to work to bring about the famous peace agreement that begins the Tribulation unless the true CHURCH, the true believers, have been taken out of the way. 

 

Keep your eyes on Jesus.  At all times.  Pray in the Spirit.  Seek his guidance.  Remember, the Holy Spirit guides you into all truth, tells you things yet to come, and reminds you of things Jesus has said to you.  If you don’t know the Holy Spirit and his gifts, pray to receive that and the baptism of the Spirit.  If possible, ask a Spirit-filled believer to pray for you for this.  Or contact us and we can pray for you over the telephone.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON - THE FINAL STEPS

  

There will be fearful events, Jesus said of our time.  People will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea, he said.

 

All that just happened.  No one on the west coast of Florida, the Gulf Coast side, ever expected the storm Helene to have serious impact on them.  It was over a hundred miles away and supposedly heading north to come ashore in the panhandle area of Florida.  Then suddenly there was the many feet of storm surge and terrible destruction of cities and houses on that west coast.

 

Far away, five hundred miles north, in the mountains of NC people were living in Asheville and Boone and smaller towns like Chimney Rock and many more.  Five hundred miles!  Hurricanes were for the coast surely.  But not so this time.  Helene arrived at an area already saturated with many inches of rain.  And it just poured more on.  Then a flood ensued unlike anything anyone living had ever seen.  Massive destruction and loss of life.  We still don’t know the full extent.  The rescuers haven’t gotten everywhere to check it all out yet.  Too many trees down, not like we are used to seeing – a tree here or there.  No, this is piles of trees all together that take long, long periods to remove.  Buildings and cars wrecked and piled up.  Hundreds of roads damaged and cut off.  Bridges out.   And hundreds of people still missing.

 

The flood is of Biblical proportions some say.

 

Some try to compare it to the great flood there in 1916 but of course no one was around then.

 

And at the same time this is happening Iran sends many missiles into Israel, and the Middle East is turbulent indeed.  And the Ukraine war just continues.  Nation against nation.  Wars and rumors of wars.

 

Final signs.  These are part of the final signs.  Jesus outlined events of the last days.  Those days are here.

 

We are at the time of the Lord’s return.  Most people just do not know.  Serious believers know if they are paying attention.  Not anyone else. 

 

So we wait to hear his command, the angel’s shout, and the trumpet.  And we will be off, leaving behind huge numbers of people who do not know Jesus, including no doubt a significant number who thought they were Christians but were not born again, not born of water and the spirit as Jesus said was a requirement.  They had been let down by their church or by their own thinking.  They did not do the will of Jesus’ father.  They did not have the same innocent faith as little children.  And evidently they just did not truly believe.  So many in their churches and in some places their pastors themselves will be left behind.

 

Time.  It’s time.  You can continue to try to wake people up, to tell people the truth.  Lots just don’t want to be bothered.  They don’t want to hear.  Lots already have been caught in the deception of the evil one and even have fallen into delusion.  Some have just never paid attention or apparently even been able to hear the truth of God.  Many others get angry and protest in cities and universities for anti-god causes although they can’t understand they are on the wrong side,  They line up in support of vicious and blind opponents of the Jews and they support the LGBTQ movement in all its ramifications.  They are spiritually lost and will live in the Tribulation.

 

We believers all have to keep in mind that only God the Father can draw anyone to Jesus.  We can’t.  We can speak to others about Jesus and the gospel and the return.  We can pray for God the Father to draw these people to Jesus.  But then we have to let God be God.

 

Soon.  Soon the Lord will be here.  And we believers will be gone.  Comfort yourselves also with realization that some come to know the Lord during the horrible Tribulation period.  In Revelation John the disciple sees countless Tribulation saints in Heaven.

 

I don’t know how many more storms like Helene will occur or how extensive the wars will become or how many other natural or human disasters will occur before Jesus arrives.  Hopefully none.  One thing is for certain.  He will be here soon.

 

Another thing is certain too:

 

Some things are now happening on earth we have little or no control over.  Not all, just some.  I think we still apply the power of prayer in all situations and use the authority Jesus has given us at all times.  But just realize there may be moments that possibly we can’t change.  Jesus is coming indeed at the appointed time.  That time is set.  And it is soon.

* IT'S TIME: JESUS AND HIM CRUCIFIED

Jesus is God.  He is a member of the Trinity – God the Father, Jesus the Son of God, the Holy Spirit.  He is the King of the Kingdom of God.  He is the head of the body of Christ, the CHURCH.  All things are under his feet. 

 

Jesus’ CHURCH is that collection of people taken out of the world to form a new society of which he is the head.  It is not those brick and wood buildings on the corners, although some people in those buildings might be in his CHURCH.

 

In the most extraordinary act imaginable, this Jesus came from the spiritual world that created earth and all beings to

 

• live among people,
• demonstrate the power of God,
• teach the people the truths of life,
• take upon himself everything that separated people from God,
• allow himself to be tortured horribly and killed by the same beings he had created,
• earn forgiveness for these beings for their sins against God,
• restore people to a relationship with God,
• and so much more.

While his mother and his disciple John and some other believers watched his crucifixion in horror, all those human beings led and guided by the devil carried out their evil work much as so many lost on the earth are today led and guided.

 

This Jesus is returning any moment now to collect his believers, those among all people who have realized who Jesus is and have him as their Lord.  They believe in him absolutely.  They have been born of water and the spirit.  They seek to do his father’s will.  They have the same innocent faith as little children.

 

He comes in the air together with an archangel.  Jesus gives a command, the angel shouts, and there is a trumpet call.  The dead in Christ rise first, then all believers still living on earth.  All these believers meet Jesus in the air, where they receive spectacular new glorious bodies to replace these current human bodies.  All these believers who have lived in perishable bodies will now have imperishable bodies.  Their mortal bodies will now be replaced with immortal ones.  And thus they will be with the Lord, with Jesus, forever.

 

When he collects his believers he will be gone again, only to return at the end of the coming seven year period of horrors on earth known as the Tribulation, a time in which evil seeks to rule and God pours out his wrath on the world.  At that return he and his holy ones, the angels and his believers, will come first to Armageddon near Jerusalem where they will confront an army of people from many countries under the leadership of the evil world leader, the antichrist.  Jesus himself will win the battle there with the sword coming out of his mouth, the WORD.  Jesus is after all the WORD.  All those soldiers fighting against him will be killed.  The antichrist and his assistant, the false prophet, will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, the eternal hell.  And the devil himself, who so long ago led a rebellion against God, will be locked into a deep pit.

 

Then begins a thousand year rule of the Kingdom of God on earth.

 

Jesus.  It’s time.  Believers can’t wait.  Everyone else doesn’t know what is going on.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: LIVING IN THE DAYS OF NOAH AND LOT

  

Those who are not born again, spirit filled believers just do not know what is happening on earth today.

 

They cannot fathom why there is so much violence and evil and lying and corruption and general disorder and mayhem.  They cannot comprehend why things steadily are getting worse and worse.  They put their hope in humans and in electing new leaders even though they know intrinsically that human leaders have failed greatly in the past.  And since they do not know the Lord and do not have the gift of discernment, they do not know how to pick the best of the candidates for any office anyway.

 

I wonder sometimes what all these people are thinking.  In the US so many continue to work hard to support their families and live, yet the increasing cost of living is great and this is all so very hard. 

 

Those in false religions such as Islam and Buddhism and Hinduism just don’t know.  They are led by false gods, really demons from Satan’s dark kingdom, and they are just lost…eternally lost unless somehow they hear the truth of Jesus and turn and are saved.  That will take an act of God, for as Jesus said no one can come to him unless his Father draws that person to him.

 

For believers, living in the midst of such national and international confusion and violence is difficult indeed.  We all know what is going on and where we are all headed, yet we live in the midst of all the mayhem and confusion and evil.  We see the continuous deception of so many leaders and others, the obvious falsehood, and we still ponder why others cannot see all that even though we know why.

 

Hopefully, the Lord will be here any moment.  We know this is the season of his return.  We know he is coming very soon.  We know that.  It could not be soon enough for us.  The only possible reason for any delay on his part must be that there are still some in that group God chose before the creation of the world to be in the Kingdom who have not yet come to the Lord.  But when I think that, I realize that they could still come to Jesus during the Tribulation or even during the Millennium. 

 

Soon.  I expect soon.  But how are we to live right now in this period.  Well, Jesus himself said his coming would be like the days of Noah and Lot.  Now, putting aside all the terrible immoral behavior of those times, the days of Noah and Lot also had people going about their regular life activities right up until when the flood came and when Sodom was destroyed.  So I take from that we are to be about our normal activities.  For believers, that includes telling others about Jesus and his return as always. 

 

Still, big decisions for some  are looming, such as whether they should move for various reasons, or maybe should they trade in their old car, or how are they going to be able to send their child to college soon.  What do they do about all this?  My only answer is just to continue to live the basic life activities right up to the instant the Lord returns.  If they have just moved when he comes and they are taken to be with him, that move and all that effort won’t matter at all will it?  No, they will just be overjoyed to be with him.

 

I have shared so many words the Lord has said to me in the past about his return, about the surprise and the instantaneousness of it all, about how things will be changed.  He is coming for his CHURCH, his true CHURCH – that body of people who have been called out of the world society into a new organization of which he is the head.  This CHURCH has nothing to do with any of these brick buildings on street corners with all the denominations and organization affiliations and such, other than that some in the CHURCH surely are involved with some of those places.  The CHURCH is the collection of Jesus’ true believers, those who have been born of water and the Spirit, those who seek to do his father’s will, those who have the same innocent faith as little children.

 

How are you to survive all the turmoil and falsehood I referenced at the beginning of this piece?  My suggestion is to keep your eyes on Jesus, keep your spiritual ears attune to hear him and the Holy Spirit and the Father, live in the protection God has for us, ask for more wisdom and guidance always, and listen out for that command from the Lord when he comes.  And of course to keep telling people who Jesus is and that he is coming soon!!!

 

May God keep all of us in the palm of his hands, safe from harm and ready to go, actively doing his will for us now in these final days.

FALLING AWAY IN PARIS

One of the great prophecies of things to happen as we near the end of this age is the falling away from God that takes place (2 Thessalonians 2:3).  I write about that falling away all the time because it is apparent in so many places.

Well, the opening of the Olympics should now demonstrate to even the least discerning of believers that the world is deep into falling away from God.  That the organizers and planners of the Olympics and the leaders of France would think it wise to have drag queens hold a mock version of the last supper should shake the very core of any believer.  What does this say?  That there are large numbers of leaders in the world – in this case in the Olympics and in France – that think nothing of shoving their thumb in the face of God.

If I had gone to Paris to attend the Olympics I would be thinking seriously of getting out of there; I would be wondering just how much longer the almighty would let that city endure, or at the very least those involved in that satanic charade called the opening ceremonies.

It is a dreadfully sad time and state we live in on earth today.  Our great joy of course is our knowledge that the return of our Lord is just moments away.  How many we do not know, and yes God surely has unbelievable patience.  Would you in God’s place have watched that drag queen version of the last supper peacefully?  Would you not perhaps have just put your powerful thumb down on those involved and squashed them like the bugs they are?

Well, that is the difference between you and me and God.  He still operates by his timetable and his patience and plan.

But obviously this part of God’s timetable, the time we are living in, is drawing to a close.  And the Lord is coming soon. 

Don’t’ let them go into the night, the Lord has told me.  I’m trying, Lord.  Wake them up, Father!  Wake them up.  Only you can draw them to Jesus!  Wake them up.

What a difficult time we live in!  Even so, never stop doing all you can to help the Father draw others to Jesus.  Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.  But never forget, we have Jesus’ own words that it is only a few who find it, the way, the real way.  Still we never quit trying.

WATCHMAN WARNING: STAY ALERT

 

 

Not an easy time or pleasant time to be alive.  Not at all.

 

For just a few paragraphs to set the stage, let’s look at this world around us.  I focus here on the US although much similarly could be said of course about other nations.  In the US so many in the national government as well as in other positions of leadership seem to be acting in such ungodly ways.  Lies pervade their daily public remarks as well as so often the remarks of many of the media that are supposed to inform the public and remain impartial.

 

This is a day of evil like none we living now have ever seen.  I know there have been pockets of untold evil in the past, and moments of evil horror such as under the Nazis in WWII and elsewhere.  But this is a general evil that permeates the lifestyles and behaviors of so many people.  Large numbers obviously do not know they are themselves not telling the truth, or they just don’t care. 

 

Lost, confused people listen to the media and the government, and being ungodly themselves they are led astray.  So we get all the wild, virulent people saying things you know are not true.  But they obviously think they are.

 

This recent assassination attempt on former President Trump has shocked many even in the mainstream community.  Let’s be honest.  Most people living have not lived as adults when there has been such a thing happen in America. 

 

People like me who have lived quite a long time remember the ultimate horror of such a happening when the leader of the country was indeed killed.  The murder of President Kennedy was a horror that still has impact.  And all those living then gradually realized – or at least most did – that we were actually not being told the truth about what had happened.  Turned out more than just the shooter were involved.  The full disclosure of the investigation has not even now been released to the public, 61 years after the fact.  And thus began in full view the time of the national government deciding what is best for the people to know and what is not.  And thus also the beginning of many not trusting the government, a lack of trust that has grown up to today when people do not trust the federal security agencies, do not believe we will be told the truth in situations, do not believe many of the leaders.

 

I write all this as background leading up to a big statement.  And this is it.

 

People, dear people, please pay attention.  The times will only get worse on earth.  We are in the very last days of this human period.  The Lord will come any moment, and I surely hope it is indeed any moment, like today for example.  The Father obviously is still drawing others to Jesus.   We know from scripture how hard it all gets as the days go by, but we believers do know that at some moment we will be taken from this confused, dark world society as the final period of true horror on earth ensues.

 

The antichrist has not yet been revealed, although surely he is waiting in the wings.  When the true believers in Jesus are taken away, he no longer has serious human opposition to his efforts to build the one-world government and the Tribulation will go forward.  Already the UN and the World Economic Forum and the World Health Organization are working towards that.

 

Remember always where the truth lies.  It lies in God, in Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, in the Bible.  Pray.  Seek to hear more always.  Live and operate in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Use the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of discernment, to survive on earth.  The Holy Spirit guides us in all truth.  He tells us of things to come.  He reminds us of things Jesus has said to us.  Remember?

 

There are large numbers of deceived, even deluded people out there, godless people whom the devil readily leads astray.  Living in the midst of all this requires wisdom on our parts and absolute attention to God’s guidance.  His words and his truths are absolute.  They are real and they work.  Remember again Jesus said his believers can do the same things he did, even greater.  Well, are you doing them?  Are you trying to do them?  Are you using God’s tools of protection?  Healing the sick?  Casting out demons?

 

I admit this is an unpleasant time.  I admit I have great difficulty looking ever at reports of what is happening on earth.  But we do need to know what is happening around us surely, so we should try to stay up to date – but just for short periods.  Don’t sit still and blindly listen and watch news programs for hours.  If you do be sure to in Jesus’ name order away from you all evil spirits.

 

You see so many of these people on television in press conferences uttering gobbledygook, lies, falsehoods, nonsense, vitriol, and you see at times they actually believe what they say.  Your heart hurts for them.  They are lost.  They don’t know the truth.  They have no foundation in truth.

 

Jesus has told me so many things about his coming, and I have shared many of them with you.  “Don’t let them go into the night” is one of his statements to me. “When I come things will be different,” is another.  Thank God for that, I say.  And here are just a few more:

 

“Tell them I am coming soon.  My people have their eyes on me.  My people tell the truth.”

 

“It will be like a beacon, like a dagger, a moment, suddenly, no light surprise.”

 

“Tell them I love them.

 

  Tell them to stay focused.

 

  Tell them I am coming soon.

 

  Tell them not to be misled.”

 

Live and operate in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pray often and in the Spirit.  Develop your spiritual senses that you will be more discerning in all situations.  And WATCH! as the Lord says.  Be ready for his return.  Stay in the right relationship with him.  Don’t get lost in this lost world in which we all are living now.

 

Remember, our physical bodies may be living in this lost world but we believers – our very selves, our spirits – have somehow been lifted up and even now are sitting with Jesus in Heaven.  Paul wrote about that in Ephesians.  Believers know Jesus.  Believers have Jesus as their Lord.  They are citizens of the Kingdom of God.  They will soon be getting a new glorious body and will be spending eternity in that Kingdom.

 

Hang in there.  He is coming soon.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: CAN THINGS GET WORSE?

 

I hear some prominent ministers say, “God is not finished with America.”

 

How do they know that?  How can they say that?

 

They can’t.  The don’t know that unless they have heard directly from God.  I certainly have not heard that.  America in its modern day culture and society and government and lifestyle is  a modern version of Sodom and Gomorrah.  Eventually God’s patience runs out.  Eventually time runs out.  But you say, there are still some godly people living in America.  Well, yes, there are, a few.  Lot lived in Sodom too, remember?  And God took Lot out of Sodom before its destruction just as he soon will take the Lord’s believers out of the world.

 

We are at the very end of this human age.  Nothing has to happen before Jesus returns to collect his believers and take them with him.  And the beginning of the seven year Tribulation awaits the signing of an agreement with the Jews, with Israel (Daniel 9:27), likely a supposed peace agreement, put together by the individual who is in fact the antichrist.  That agreement could happen very soon as there is great pressure from the world for Israel to enter such an agreement.

 

And what happens during the Tribulation?  The pouring out of God’s wrath on the world.  His judgement of the world, a terrible time, in addition to the horrible actions of the unbelievers left behind and the government of the antichrist.

 

We are right there, dear friends.  No, I can’t give you the hour and day.  The Lord has not told me that.  I do not think he has told anyone that.  But he has in many different ways in his own words at different times made the points to me that “it is soon,” “when he comes things will be different,” “it will be swift,” “no light surprise,” …and then a direct assignment to me, “don’t let people go into the night.”  And of course that is what we have worked on for years, trying not to let people go into the night.  But there still are so many lost in this world.  You see them every day in your normal life as well as on television in the news or elsewhere.  Overwhelmingly, the majority are lost, lost, lost. 

 

Please ask the Holy Spirit to arrange all divine encounters he would have you have and ask him to guide you in those encounters. 

 

And just please be alert and aware and expect things in this world to get steadily worse, right up to the moment you hear the Lord’s command and join him in the air.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE FACTS AND TRUTH OF OUR EXISTENCE

 

When someone dies, and you are there with them – whether a dear family member or friend or someone else- at the moment of death that person’s life leaves the body.  It just goes somewhere else, and the body that is left is just an inanimate piece of material as is the chair you have been sitting in.   That person is no longer there.

 

Now, that person if they are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ will at some point in the near future, at the coming of the Lord to collect his believers, receive a glorious new body to live in.  And if the person is not a believer, that person will after the white throne judgement be sent off to eternity in the lake of fire, hell.

 

As the popular saying goes, “them’s the facts.”  Like them or not, those are true facts of this creation of God in which we live.  Life on earth exists under the commandments and rules and laws – spiritual and physical – of God.  Beyond that, the lives of people while on earth are of course under constant attack from the evil side, and those who do not truly know the Lord and all that is theirs through that relationship are easily led astray.  As John says in 1 John, the world is under the control of the evil one.  It will be so until Jesus wins the battle at the end of the Tribulation and sets up Kingdom government in Jerusalem, with that evil one having been thrown into a deep pit.

 

The only exception to the dominance of the evil one in the current world is the fact that believers in the Lord Jesus already have the Kingdom of God within them.  They are living in a totally different way than others all around.  And they have the power of that Kingdom, and all God’s promises, to use and apply while existing in this truly lost world.

 

Believers of course anxiously await the return of the Lord to collect them and take them with him.  They look forward to the new glorious bodies.  And they wonder what their lives will be like in the future.  That of course we will soon know.  This long period, this temporary pause in God’s calendar since Jesus left earth during which believers have been added to the Kingdom, will soon be over.  And God’s timing and plan will resume.  Seven years of Tribulation for those left behind, for the world.  Then a thousand year period under the government of the Kingdom of God based in Jerusalem, which believers will participate in.  And then finally the truly new Jerusalem described in chapter 21 in Revelation. 

 

Everyone, keep your eyes on Jesus.  Stay focused on all of God’s word.  Read again the promises, the truths, the commands, and more.  Read the gospel accounts over and over.  God’s word works.  We can do the same things Jesus did, even greater.  We can heal the sick, cast out demons, preach the gospel, and on and on.  But we must be persistent.  We must live in the right relationship with Jesus, we must operate in faith and in truth, we must rely on the truth and power of the Word, we must apply that Word to our lives and situations.  We can’t waiver.  If we slip up, if we stray away from the truths, we must ask for forgiveness which we will of course receive.  And we must be patient. 

 

God really does know what is going on in your life.  Every day ask the Lord Jesus to orchestrate your life, to bring glory to himself and the Father through you.  Ask the Holy Spirit to arrange divine encounters, conversations he would have you have with others, with nonbelievers.  Stand on the promises of health, and provision, and more.  Remind the Lord in prayer of things he has said to you and of promises in the Bible for believers.  He of course knows all this, but it is always good for you to talk about it in prayer.  Listen.  For guidance.  Don’t miss the Holy Spirit’s leading.  If you get a check in your spirit about something you are thinking of doing, don’t do it.  Stop and reconsider and pray.  Seek guidance.

 

All these many things on earth in our lives are all secondary to Jesus and our relationship with him.  The only thing that really matters is Jesus and your relationship with him.

 

I have greatly enjoyed the ministry God has led Cathy and me in.  I have wondered and marveled at things that have happened, that we have seen…healings, miracles, the fulfillment of God’s call and promises to us,  and so much more.  And I like you eagerly await the Lord’s imminent return.  But in the meantime we just can’t stop what we are doing.  Not you and not us.  It all continues, right up to the Lord’s return.  And then we will see what comes next for us, won’t we.  I can’t wait. 

 

 

 

Always remember, the only thing that really matters is Jesus and your relationship with him.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: NOT QUALIFIED

 

Now more than ever in history perhaps we have this irrefutable truth made abundantly clear:

 

People on their own are not qualified to rule.  They cannot be good kings or any other type of top ruler.

 

We have this guidance given us way back in the early books of the Bible.  The Israelites kept pestering the spiritual leader of their time, Samuel, for God to give them a king.  They wanted to have a king like all the other nations.  Of course, God was their leader.  They were his people.  And no nation could compete with Israel when they were truly following God.

 

Still these Israelites kept demanding a king.

 

So God decided to give them one.  Samuel was so ashamed, but God pointed out to him it was not Samuel they had rejected but God himself.  Imagine.  What if you or I had that choice?  Would you take God over President Biden or President Trump or any other worldly leader?  Of course you would, if you are a true believer.  Otherwise, probably not.

 

So Samuel told the people all the horrible things a king would do to them.  You can read all this in 1 Samuel 8.

 

And then he went forward and anointed Saul as God had led him to do.  And the rest is history.  Saul had some good points but also some very bad ones.  And David finally became King.  He too had some good points.  But not entirely.  And so it went.  King after king, in Judah and Israel.  Good and bad, but often really bad.

 

No doubt many of their problems could have all been avoided but the people chose to have a king. 

 

And here we are today with our human top leaders.  The current government obviously doesn’t know what to do with the key problems of the day.  It is a matter of stumbling along.  That is true throughout the world.  And it is apparent the leaders – at least most – don’t know where we are in time and what is soon to happen with the Lord’s return.  They are just lost in their confused and jumbled world.

 

Jesus has promised to his believers that we will rule with him.  We will sit on his throne with him!  How wonderful is that!  And how wonderful is it that we will rule with him, not by ourselves.  With him!

 

And Jesus will be King of all the earth.
