* WATCHMAN WARNING: WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON - THE FINAL STEPS

  

There will be fearful events, Jesus said of our time.  People will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea, he said.

 

All that just happened.  No one on the west coast of Florida, the Gulf Coast side, ever expected the storm Helene to have serious impact on them.  It was over a hundred miles away and supposedly heading north to come ashore in the panhandle area of Florida.  Then suddenly there was the many feet of storm surge and terrible destruction of cities and houses on that west coast.

 

Far away, five hundred miles north, in the mountains of NC people were living in Asheville and Boone and smaller towns like Chimney Rock and many more.  Five hundred miles!  Hurricanes were for the coast surely.  But not so this time.  Helene arrived at an area already saturated with many inches of rain.  And it just poured more on.  Then a flood ensued unlike anything anyone living had ever seen.  Massive destruction and loss of life.  We still don’t know the full extent.  The rescuers haven’t gotten everywhere to check it all out yet.  Too many trees down, not like we are used to seeing – a tree here or there.  No, this is piles of trees all together that take long, long periods to remove.  Buildings and cars wrecked and piled up.  Hundreds of roads damaged and cut off.  Bridges out.   And hundreds of people still missing.

 

The flood is of Biblical proportions some say.

 

Some try to compare it to the great flood there in 1916 but of course no one was around then.

 

And at the same time this is happening Iran sends many missiles into Israel, and the Middle East is turbulent indeed.  And the Ukraine war just continues.  Nation against nation.  Wars and rumors of wars.

 

Final signs.  These are part of the final signs.  Jesus outlined events of the last days.  Those days are here.

 

We are at the time of the Lord’s return.  Most people just do not know.  Serious believers know if they are paying attention.  Not anyone else. 

 

So we wait to hear his command, the angel’s shout, and the trumpet.  And we will be off, leaving behind huge numbers of people who do not know Jesus, including no doubt a significant number who thought they were Christians but were not born again, not born of water and the spirit as Jesus said was a requirement.  They had been let down by their church or by their own thinking.  They did not do the will of Jesus’ father.  They did not have the same innocent faith as little children.  And evidently they just did not truly believe.  So many in their churches and in some places their pastors themselves will be left behind.

 

Time.  It’s time.  You can continue to try to wake people up, to tell people the truth.  Lots just don’t want to be bothered.  They don’t want to hear.  Lots already have been caught in the deception of the evil one and even have fallen into delusion.  Some have just never paid attention or apparently even been able to hear the truth of God.  Many others get angry and protest in cities and universities for anti-god causes although they can’t understand they are on the wrong side,  They line up in support of vicious and blind opponents of the Jews and they support the LGBTQ movement in all its ramifications.  They are spiritually lost and will live in the Tribulation.

 

We believers all have to keep in mind that only God the Father can draw anyone to Jesus.  We can’t.  We can speak to others about Jesus and the gospel and the return.  We can pray for God the Father to draw these people to Jesus.  But then we have to let God be God.

 

Soon.  Soon the Lord will be here.  And we believers will be gone.  Comfort yourselves also with realization that some come to know the Lord during the horrible Tribulation period.  In Revelation John the disciple sees countless Tribulation saints in Heaven.

 

I don’t know how many more storms like Helene will occur or how extensive the wars will become or how many other natural or human disasters will occur before Jesus arrives.  Hopefully none.  One thing is for certain.  He will be here soon.

 

Another thing is certain too:

 

Some things are now happening on earth we have little or no control over.  Not all, just some.  I think we still apply the power of prayer in all situations and use the authority Jesus has given us at all times.  But just realize there may be moments that possibly we can’t change.  Jesus is coming indeed at the appointed time.  That time is set.  And it is soon.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE HORRIFIC ATTACK ON ISRAEL AND THE THREE REMAINING PROPHETIC WARS

  

By now surely all have heard of the horrific surprise attack on Israel by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, an attack on innocent men, women, children, and even babies that resulted in more than a thousand murders.  It was dreadful and terrifying.  And now Israel is engaged in fighting to root out the terrorists in the Gaza strip, and it remains to be seen whether the other Palestinian terrorist group Hezbollah located north of Israel will get involved.  Adding to all this are the reports that Iran was involved in the initial planning of the Hamas attack.

 

This all leads us to look again at the three wars prophesied in the Bible to happen involving Israel before the end of the seven-year Tribulation.  In other words, these three wars must happen fairly soon!

 

When speaking of prophecies of the last days, Jesus says there will be wars and rumors of wars (Mt 24:6).  Indeed there are wars taking place in various locations in the world now and seemingly all the time.  But specific to Israel are the three prophetic wars of which I speak.  I wrote about these several times in the past, including in chapter 6 of our book WAKE UP AMERICA! JESUS IS COMING SOON.   Let’s look at these three: 

 

PSALM 83

 

This psalm describes a war that at least until the last few days had not yet happened.  In the Psalm several nations that surround Israel are involved in attacking Israel.  We have to wonder if the current attack on Israel is the precursor of this war. In the Psalm 83 war prophecy, the Palestinians are one of the groups identified as attacking Israel, and they are the attackers that instigated this current war.  

 

It is possible the full Psalm 83 war – maybe this current attack plus more – may be the event that ends with the signing of the peace agreement with Israel described in Daniel 9:27 that leads the Israelites to believe they are living in peace and that really signals the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation.  If you are still here on earth then, be sure to pay attention to whomever leads the signing of such an agreement, for that will be the Antichrist as we see in Daniel 9.

 

Let me emphasize, we do not yet know if this current attack is a precursor to the Psalm 83 war but there surely are signs it might be.  And time is running out for this Psalm 83 war to happen!

 

 

 

EZEKIEL 38-39

 

These chapters describe a dramatic attack by a coalition of powerful nations against Israel while Israel is living in unwalled villages.  That description of being unwalled implies the Israelites think they were safe and have nothing to worry about.  That sort of naivete is much like this current Hamas attack on Israel which was evidently totally missed by the usually crack Israeli intelligence forces.

 

Translating the Biblical nation titles to modern words gives the attackers:  possibly Russia as leader, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and the Sudan.  This attack God very obviously stops, knocking the invading airplanes out of the sky and destroying the invaders.  It takes 7 months for the Israelites to bury the dead attackers.  The end of this war is a clear indication to all watching of the presence and power of God.  Note that Iran is in the group of attackers, and Iran already is identified by some today as being involved in planning the recent Palestinian attack.  At the least we know Iran provides a large amount of funding for Hamas.

 

None of the nations right around Israel are identified as involved in this Ezekiel 38-39 war.  This indicates that they are at peace with Israel then, likely because some are or have been greatly reduced in power in a previous war - likely the Psalm 83 war. 

 

 

 

ARMEGGEDON – Revelation 19 and Zechariah 14

 

The last of the three wars is Armageddon, which occurs at the very end of the Tribulation.   The nations of the world in opposition to God go to the valley of Jehosophat to fight against Israel and against God.  There they are destroyed by Jesus as he leads an army consisting of his holy ones (believers and angels).  Revelation notes that everyone in the army opposing Jesus is killed.  The Antichrist and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire and the devil is locked into a deep pit for a thousand years.  Jerusalem suffers horribly in the lead up to and the actual war effort, as you can read in the last chapter of Zechariah.

 

 

 

Time is short friends.  Really short.  Please be about your role of telling others about Jesus, the gospel, and Jesus’ return.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and to orchestrate all encounters he would have you have.  Share how people can be in the Kingdom of God.  Jesus can and will return at any moment now to collect his believers.  Be alert and ready to go.

 

And do not neglect praying for the peace of Jerusalem as we are guided to do in the Bible.

* WATCHMAN WARNING!: THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENS AGAIN

So here we are in a truly horrible situation.  A huge military machine in a communist country led by an evil and perhaps even disturbed leader is intent on destroying a smaller democratic country on its border.  The leader of the smaller country and his countrymen have captured the hearts of the world, but their cause seems desperate at best.  And Americans and others throughout the world watch with horror at what is happening and may be likely to happen.

Wars and rumors of wars is one of Jesus’ prophecies about the times in which we live.  And this surely is a war, the most frightening since World War II.  Recently I wrote it follows the terrible principle that “might makes right,” a principle King George VI of the UK declared could not be allowed to stand in his speech about Germany at the beginning of WW II.  I haven’t heard any speech like King George’s thus far, except perhaps for the declarations from the Ukrainian president.  The US evidently offered to get him out of Ukraine, and he responded by saying he didn’t need a ride, he needed weapons!

Let’s be direct and honest.  The USA today is limited in responding to the Russian invasion of Ukraine because it needs Russian oil! Right now while Russia is killing innocent men, women, and children in Ukraine and while its own young soldiers are being killed, the USA and Europe  are paying Russia huge amounts of money for oil and thereby funding their terrible war effort.  Sanctions have been levied against Russia, but not any stopping this selling of oil to the West and the flow of oil funds to Russia.

But there is a quick and easy fix!  Many have already spoken about it.  Just return to the energy policies of the day before the current president took office. The US was energy independent then! Immediately upon entering office, this current president issued an executive order that restricted the energy industry in the US and the US moved to having to import oil.  And so it buys oil from Russia!  This current energy dependence is all politics, terrible politics.  It comes from the current president’s ties to the far left green new deal politicians. 

Related to this, I saw almost impossible to believe comments by John Kerry, the former candidate for President.  He stated he hoped this Russia-Ukraine war wouldn’t distract from the climate change work now underway!  He even said it was important for the Russian leader and other leaders to remain committed to the lowering of greenhouse gases.  Incredible!  As if that is anywhere near in importance right now to the horrible war going on in the Ukraine and the suffering taking place there.  Again I warn everyone – there are deceived, deluded people out there in our world, many of them, and some are filling important positions!

Of course we are concerned and pray for the Ukrainians.  And we admire their fortitude.  And we do a tiny bit have to feel for the Russian soldiers.  They are young men, really young, who I doubt know why they are involved in this conflict.   

Another “last days” point needs to be made.  Beyond the wars and rumors of war prophecy of Jesus, I think there is even more here.  I expect the Russian leader is the Gog of Ezekiel 38-39 and Russia is the Magog.  How they move from this current war to leading an attack on Israel described there we will just have to wait and see.  Most likely that happens during the early part of the Tribulation anyway so believers will miss that.  Perhaps if somehow the USA and other Western countries do somehow find a way they are willing to take to thwart Russia in its efforts to takeover Ukraine, Gog and Magog will be so incensed they will be looking for somewhere to attack.  Maybe that will be Israel.

Don't forget amidst all the Russia-Ukraine clamor:

Everything is secondary right now to the fact that Jesus is coming soon and that to be in the Kingdom, to go with him, you must be a true believer in him. You must be born anew. Jesus must be your Lord.  Keep your eyes on him.  Don’t be distracted.
