*CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS! – WATCH THAT YOU ARE NOT DECEIVED!

 

Jesus’ famous warning about these last days to watch that we are not deceived was not said to a group of nonbelievers!  It was spoken to his closest disciples!  So obviously it is a great and sincere warning to each of us who have Jesus as our Lord.

 

After watching the behavior of various persons and groups, including people who are believers, over these past few years, I see a real need to point this out and to give some guidance.  Let’s look at these illustrations:

 

LAST INAUGURATION DAY

In the last presidential election, even after election day and in the period leading up to the inauguration day of January 20, there was among some believers a sense that the former president, Donald Trump, had a group of persons supporting him with a lot of power – including military for example – and that just before January 20 he and they would take over the government. They would expose all the evil doing among various politicians in the country and Trump would be put back in as president.

 

 

Now this so impacted some believers that as that day approached, I suddenly received an email from one of our partners who had heard all this.  She wrote to inquire about it and when it was going to happen, if it was going to happen.  She pointed out that the “prophets” were all saying this, prophets well respected by others.  By the word prophets she evidently meant some of the prominent tv and internet persons who call themselves prophets. 

 

 

 

None of this turned out to be true.  These so called prophets – including apparently some fairly well known persons – had gotten their views from who knows where.  Perhaps it was wishful thinking.  I could do little to help her except to tell her to pray about those giving out words she thought prophetic, to inquire of God and to search the Bible to see if their words or what they were doing seemed to fit and be right. 

 

 

 

This was a group of people – perhaps not connected to each other at all – who were living in delusion and deception or who were misleading people willing to believe a hope, a fantasy.  They were people who operate in the Christian world and indeed maybe they are sincere believers.  They themselves may have been deceived.  I want to point out right now, not all deceivers are from the far left, progressive, woke, cancel-culture side of things.  Obviously some are from the conservative and supposedly Christian side.

 

 

 

You can’t just depend on others to tell you what to believe and how to act.  You have to discern yourself, to seek the Lord’s guidance.  This is where being filled with and baptized in the Holy Spirit is such a great help.  The Holy Spirit will guide you in all truth.  He will show you the right path if you are open to him and willing to let him do so, if you will just spend sufficient time with the Lord to hear.

 

 

 

COVID

Today I just saw an email from another follower of our ministry. They were concerned about my reporting in a recent Watchman Warning that virtually all the people in the hospitals today for covid are unvaccinated people.  They said I should stop looking at the media.  Evidently they thought I was being misled. 

 

 

But you too should know if you pay attention to the hard facts, the statistics, that this is indeed true.  Everywhere now from numerous sources - such as government and university groups that keep such records to newspapers and local television stations  to just plain good old local doctors - this truth is known.  The overwhelming number of persons in the hospitals and dying with covid are those that have not been vaccinated.

 

 

 

I know many people from various backgrounds for various reasons were and are greatly concerned about this vaccine – some thought it not tested enough, some for the fear that comes from their ancestors having been used unknowingly in a medical test decades ago, some others believing that those behind the vaccine were part of a conspiracy.  I know that even some people in the medical field have not had the vaccine.

 

 

 

But all this does not change the fact that those sick enough from covid to be in hospitals and those dying of the covid virus are almost entirely unvaccinated people. 

 

 

 

Don’t be deceived.  Deception can come from the conservative side and indeed from some in the “Christian” community too, as I just described above.  It is up to you to decide what to believe and how to go forward.  So many individuals don’t want to have to figure things out, to discern for themselves.  God is here to help you in that, but you have to take the steps, spend the time, do the research.  Or at the least find persons and authorities you truly know are serious believers that God guides you too.  Be suspicious and check out anyone with unusual, unorthodox theories.  Maybe one will be true.  Maybe a lot will not.

 

 

 

AFGHANISTAN

Right now our nation is going through the throes of a complete catastrophe in Afghanistan. The management of the withdrawal has been a nightmare.  Taking out the military before removing the American citizens and the Afghans who had worked with the Americans is almost unfathomable, yet that is what the current American government did.  And in doing so, it showed the world and our giant adversaries on earth like China and Russia and others, just how confused and apparently incompetent the leadership of America now is.

 

 

The behavior of our current president has led many to question just who is running things in the government.  Whoever it is is not doing a good job.  One Washington official just declared he wants to know who is behind the curtain. I’m sure we all would like to.

 

 

 

In any event, this administration and whoever is behind it have indeed sought to deceive the American people with the health and abilities of the current president, but that deception is becoming more evident.  What will happen next in the government?  That I don’t know.  Maybe nothing.  But you yourself must seek not to be deceived.  Live with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

 

 

 

 

 

That’s enough for now.  Obviously we are in the midst of the last days.  Obviously deception is everywhere.   

 

And obviously so many things are happening.  Jesus warned of nation against nation, of earthquakes and pestilence and storms and fearful things and on and on.  Well, we are in the midst of this.

 

In all things keep your eyes on Jesus.  Use the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of discernment, to see and understand the truth in situations.  And if you don’t have the Holy Spirit or know what I am talking about, find some spirit filled Christian to pray for you to receive and be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

* TIME TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST HURRICANE IDA! NOW!

Once more in just a week, here we are again needing to take a stand against a terrible storm.  We need to apply the truths and the authority the Lord has given us believers.  This time it is against a rapidly growing storm named Ida apparently heading across the Gulf of Mexico toward Louisiana and New Orleans.  Already it is a category 1 hurricane and by landfall on Sunday night the weather people are projecting it could be a category 4 storm.  That is a disastrous and terrible storm. 

 

As I wrote just a week ago, remember how Jesus said believers can do the same thing he did, even greater.  He also said he would do whatever believers ask him in his name.  And the Father will give us whatever we ask him in Jesus’ name.  And that we can order mountains in our life away.  We can order them thrown into the sea. (See John 14:12-14; John 16:23; Mark 11:22-23).

The mountain right now for those living in Louisiana and surrounding areas is the storm Ida.  It’s time once again to use these truths and the authority the Lord has given us and to put your faith into action.  The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of power and not just word! 

So I ask now everyone wherever you are to pray against this storm, to take a stand.  (I personally like to step outside and face in the direction of the storm, raising arm and hand with palm to the storm.)

You can certainly put this in your own words, but I suggest declaring something like this:

In Jesus’ name, I order the storm named Ida to turn aside from land, to go out to sea and to diminish in power and disappear.  In Jesus’ name, I order this storm to touch no land and harm no people and no boats!

Be bold!    Remember, he changed the weather.  In his name we have done that too. 

One other suggestion – if you have family or friends in the area to which this storm is currently headed, ask them also to take authority and make the same declaration above.

 

Let’s do it now for all the people on the Gulf Coast of the US!

*TIME TO STAND AGAINST THE STORM HENRI!

Here we are again, needing to take a stand against a terrible thing, needing to apply the truths and the authority the Lord has given us believers.  This time there is a growing storm in the Atlantic apparently heading directly toward Long Island and surrounding areas and then Connecticut, Rhode Island and more of New England.  It is projected to be of hurricane strength before hitting land. My children and grandchildren and several of our ministry partners live in that area.

Remember, Jesus said believers can do the same thing he did, even greater.  He also said he would do whatever believers ask him in his name.  And the Father will give us whatever we ask him in Jesus’ name.  And that we can order mountains in our life away.  We can order them thrown into the sea. * WATCHMAN WARNING: HOW DO WE WAKE PEOPLE UP? ONCE AWAKE, HOW DO WE GET THEM TO TAKE ACTION?

 

Yes, these are terrible times.  Terrible times!  Jesus made that clear.  Paul made it clear.

And yes, we know the Lord is returning soon.

 

But that does not mean we are to sit and do nothing.  We must – as always – acknowledge the Lord before people if we expect him to acknowledge us before God.  We must be about his work, which is our work if we are believers.

 

We must tell others the truth.  Only the truth will set people free.

 

We live in a time of massive lying and deception, of graft and moral and financial corruption on the part of government and business and media and education leaders.  It is a time we have not seen before in America.

 

This is a unique time.  It is the last days.

 

We are not seeing one or two problems.  We are seeing a great unending number on a national and world stage.

 

And they are being made worse by the behavior and actions of deceived, confused evil persons – inept persons – operating in key positions.

 

Massive phony issues occupy the attention of the media and government, and thus of the people, while real life and death issues play out on the world stage.

 

A terrible pestilence – covid – rages throughout the world.  Yes, it is serious and it is deadly for some people who catch it.  But not for most.   Pestilence is one of Jesus’ prophecies about the times we are living in.  Covid is a pestilence.

 

In recent months there has been a great fall in the death rate from this disease.  That death rate is still low, basically at the low levels of a little more than a couple months ago when we were all exulting at the demise of covid.  You don’t hear that do you?  No, you just hear the panic and scare tactics of the media and government bureaucrats citing the great increase in cases.  But just who are these in the hospital today?  And who are the ones dying?  Overwhelmingly, they are people who are not vaccinated.

 

Yet the government - national, state, local - in so much of the country has responded again with inane tactics, forcing everyone to wear masks, even the great number of vaccinated people!  Why?

 

• Where do the local boards get this authority?
• Where are the courts in all this? The Supreme Court may as well not exist.

Yes, it seems the Delta variance of the virus is highly contagious.  Yes, hospitals are more crowded and cases have increased greatly.  But no, there is not a really great increase in deaths.  Either the hospitals are better at treating covid or this variance is not as deadly as the original disease.

 

In places where almost all adults are vaccinated, local authorities have still ordered masks!  It is inane.  It is frightening, the power and megalomania of those in positions of governmental authority.

 

Have you seen some wearing masks even while driving by themselves?  So many Americans just cannot think clearly in all this confusion.

 

The medical world has failed us greatly.  Not the individual doctors and nurses who have sacrificed greatly and risked their own lives to care for covid patients.  No, the establishment – the national health organizations.  They have sold themselves out for political gain and expectations of the groups in charge, those ungodly who seek more and more control of the populace.

 

Of course, I am sad when anyone dies from covid.  But the death rate is far less than that from cancer, from heart disease.

 

Looking further, our authorities and media and TV personnel have been so focused on horrible, false issues that they totally missed real survival issues.  They rail about imaginary harmful political theories like critical race theory or woke and cancel culture politics that seek to change even common sense things (calling a pregnant woman a birthing person).  While they are so focused on spending more and more imaginary money, crime and violence grow greatly and violent groups assault and attack and destroy without fear of being arrested or stopped.  At the southern border hundreds of thousands of unknown and illegal aliens come easily into the nation.

 

Throughout history the United States has had immigration policies to protect the people of the nation and to provide for orderly immigration of people who will be a positive addition to the country.  All nations have immigration controls.  Other countries do not allow anyone to just come in.  The policy at the southern border is a death wish for the nation.

 

And this list just goes on and on.  For some time now there has been great effort of government and media and entertainment and business to back the LGBTQ movement and the transgender movement.  The effort is obviously to make this lifestyle look mainstream.  But it is not.  It is a small minority of the population.  Just a couple years ago the LGBTQ group was way below 5 % of the population, more like 2% according to Gallup.  And the transgender movement was a tiny fraction of one percent.

 

So these deceived false leaders are busy training the military about critical race theory and getting balance of every conceivable group in there, all the while evil operates throughout the world.  And now we have this current Afghanistan catastrophe.  Those in power in the US do not understand how things happen in the world.  That they were surprised the horribly evil Taliban took over Afghanistan so quickly tells you all you need to know about our American leaders.

 

The US is in great trouble.  It has lost, confused, deceived, and in many cases evil persons in positions of leadership in all areas.  The devil has been at work a long time.  He knows the end is here for him, but he is putting up a fight, isn’t he.

 

Keep your eyes on Jesus.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you every step of your day.  Ask him to orchestrate your life.  Represent the Lord in all situations.  Tell others.  Ask for divine encounters.

 

Time is short.  How short?  Don’t know specifically.  But obviously very short.

 

Stand up for the Lord, for truth.  Be bold.  Remember those who built America, who conquered the West, who crossed the Atlantic to start a new life, who went to the moon. 

 

Keep focused on God’s priorities.  They are your priorities.

 

Use the tools God has given you for health, protection, and all aspects of life.

 

This is not a game we are living in.  Most of those in authority do not know what they are doing.  Yes, it is a frightening time.

 

But we believers know Jesus.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: WATCH!

 

Watch out that you are not deceived. – Luke 21:8

 

…many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. – Matthew 24:11

 

 

 

These warnings above are words spoken by Jesus Christ!  Words of warning to you and to me, for right now, the time we are living in, the last days before the return of Jesus Christ.  We are living in a time of deception and false prophets. 

 

Again, like a repeat of a bad television program, we are seeing more frightening and controlling behavior from the increasingly autocratic group that now runs this country and society.  As I write this the CDC and various other branches of government are moving forward with recommending and imposing mask mandates, even though a large portion of society now has the vaccines, even though the death rate from covid is still now a small fraction of what it was a few months ago and is many times less than major diseases like heart disease and cancer. 

 

These people who have taken over the national government and many of the so-called progressive states and cities, are moving once again to apparently further subjugate the American people.  You should have noticed in the news the last few days this growing pressure to put into place again a mask mandate on the people, including those who are vaccinated.  Some places have already done that.

 

Why?

 

The stated reason has to do with the Delta variant and that people unvaccinated are at real risk.  But as I just noted the level of impact of covid in the USA now is really low, even including this variant.  And indeed all the people who have been vaccinated now are highly protected against this disease.  Even if they were to catch it – and there is a low chance – they would in all probability just have a mild case. 

 

This current sudden increase in covid cases is evidently due to the more contagious delta variant being caught by those unvaccinated, primarily in five states where the vaccination rate is low indeed.  The overwhelming number of persons in hospitals or dying from covid these days are unvaccinated people.

 

Covid is a serious deadly disease but it is just not a great risk in America any longer.  Yes, it is still true, people with preexisting conditions, older senior citizens, seriously overweight persons, all these especially if they don’t have the vaccination are at risk of problems if they catch the disease.  But not the bulk of the population.  Covid has almost become just another risk of life today, like heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, car accidents, and violent assault and other crime.

 

Regardless of what you think of the vaccination, and there are many opinions on this, it is clear that it has had a dramatic impact in stopping and slowing down the disease. 

 

There is no obvious reason for vaccinated people to suddenly have to wear masks, other than that the current autocratic leaders are getting concerned the people are speaking up more and more objecting to their policies – objecting very visibly and vocally to things like critical race theory being taught in the schools and in the military, the extraordinary rise in crime, and inane requirements that children wear masks in school. 

 

So one way to slow down this growing opposition to the far-out policies of the progressive/woke/cancel culture gang is for them to impose mask restrictions.  Certainly we all just lived through a period where it was obvious that wearing masks, not seeing each other’s faces or frowns or smiles, along with the social distancing and other measures led to really muting society, diminishing open expression, reducing the joy of life for so many.  

 

We are having in America a real growth of dictatorial types who want to tell people how to live and how to run the country.  They are far afield from those who struggled to bring about the greatest free country on earth.  They have no understanding that there is no way ever to legislate true equality of status, income, jobs, talent, abilities, etc.  But we can provide equality of opportunities, and America has done that better than any society in the history of the world for many years.

 

These people who consistently want to tell all of us how to live according to their human rules are quite apparently just not godly people.  That is obvious from their views, from their vocabularies, from their actions.  Sadly, today America is a land with many ungodly people in the top positions of government and business and media and entertainment.  And sadly, many who should be boldly standing up for the Lord, for the gospel, for God in our world are meek and mum and staying away from the fight.  Many church pastors do not teach we are near the end of the age and near the Lord’s return nor do they teach the full gospel.

 

The country and world are full of people living and acting like sheep, obeying whatever the increasingly autocratic rulers dictate.  But there is one group of sheep that has the Lord as their leader.  They hear his voice.  It is time for this group - the Lord’s sheep - to behave like the Lord’s followers, like they have faith.  They must stand up for him in every situation in which they find themselves and as guided by the Holy Spirit.  That is tough to be sure but it is their role. 

 

The only reason the Lord has not come yet to collect his sheep must be that a few of his elect – those God chose to be in him before the creation of the world - have not yet heard clearly of the gospel and the Lord.  Hard to believe I know.  Likely just a few.  But if all had heard, I expect Jesus would already have been here. 

 

So we keep telling others and sharing as we can and as there are opportunities.  And we await the Lord’s imminent return alert, eyes wide open, ready, never misled by the deceived and lost souls running the country and many other governments and entities.

 

Read the scriptures at the top again! And Watch!

* WATCHMAN WARNING: THESE ARE THE DAYS

When I sit down to write I always want to write on Jesus and the fullness of who he is and who we are in him.  But then I look around at the world and all that is happening and how close we are to the Lord’s return, and I get concerned so many can’t discern what is happening and don’t know these are the last of the last days.  So I am left again with writing to alert all to this dramatic point.

 

There are two ways of looking at our times and lives today – the spiritual way and the secular way. 

 

Spiritually, we are in the very last days before the Lord’s return.  No one knows the precise moment, but we do know the season of that return as the Lord said we could.  And that season is now.  All those many prophecies of things to happen before his return that lay dormant for hundreds of years were suddenly fulfilled in recent decades.  Great prophecies, like the return of the nation of Israel, the takeover of Jerusalem by the Jews, the return of the Jews to Israel, and so many more.  Jesus could come at any moment to collect his CHURCH, that group of people who truly believe in him.  It could be moments or months or a few years.  But not many years.  No, the prophecies and the Lord’s words are all true, and have been proved true.  So he is coming very very soon.

 

Secularly, we are witnessing a real terrifying travesty of events throughout the world.  In the USA, the great world leader whose founding began a move throughout the world to democracy and freedom for individuals in many other nations, events are shocking.  And sadly, so many Americans either do not see or cannot discern the events and seem ok with just going forward.

 

But there is not going to be a going forward as usual.  Events are well underway to take away basic individual freedoms.  The Bill of Rights, the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence are being trampled.  Amazingly, at the top levels of government we have people now in place who are truly moving the nation to a more autocratic rule, toward a form of American Marxism or communism, toward a true socialist state.  There are leaders in many fields in the US who suddenly no longer care about the founding fathers and the foundations of the country.  And if you are a believer, you can readily discern that the leaders of this terrible movement are not Christians; they are not believers in Jesus Christ. 

 

Right now people in Cuba boldly are risking their lives to demonstrate against the terrible and pathetically bad Communist government there.  The economy in Cuba is terrible, the government controls it and the lives of the people.  Yet the American government does not back the people in their brave effort, with many officials backing the communist government originally started by Fidel Castro.  At the same time the American government openly allows in all sorts of unchecked people at the southern border, most of whom are just searching for a better economic life, not fleeing communist dictatorship.

 

All sorts of false issues are being put up by various far left groups in America in the intent to tear down and destroy, to divide the people.  Racism is being thrown out hourly in response to any issue.  They know it is a word guaranteed to excite and disrupt.  Violent groups seem to think any sort of violence is acceptable as we have seen, and in many “far left” led cities there is no serious effort to stop the violence.  Police forces have been cut greatly even though the great majority of Americans in all races want police protection.  One of these militant groups is led by formally trained Marxists.  In one of their early Internet posts of their positions, they made the point they do not think the nuclear family – mom, dad, children – is the way to raise children.

 

The LGBTQ group is increasingly more violent and threatening.  Let’s be honest – these people are ever pressing for more acceptance by all people.  They want all people to say their lifestyle is all right.  But of course it is not.  It is not acceptable at all to God.  And if you ever look up the statistics such as life expectancy, suicide, and more, you will see it is not working well here in the secular world either.

 

That group increasingly is militant.  Recently the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus put out a video that sings about “coming for your children.”  And the whole area of pedophilia is moving to ever more acceptance publicly and nationally.

 

I just read a document by a fellow writer on these times where he talks about hearing the screams and calls of some of the violent demonstrators in this progressive movement as they attacked persons who had views they would not listen to.  He remarked more than once that the screams and calls were like the sounds of wild animals.  Well, they were.  And these people behaving thusly are.  They are under the control of demons, of evil spirits.  This is the devil in action, and he was hearing the wild calls of demons.

 

All the while most Americans, perhaps even those who recognize all this, sit at home and do nothing.

 

What does it take for evil to succeed?  For good people to do nothing.

 

Now, since we know Jesus is coming soon, maybe some of us think why try to counter the horror of all these lost violent and vicious groups.  But shouldn’t we be doing Jesus’ work when he returns to collect his believers?  Remember his question about will he find faith on earth?  Shouldn’t we be ever working to help in God the Father’s leading of people to Jesus?

 

If you are a true believer, you can discern what is happening.  You do not need to spend time pondering why others around you do not see this, for those who are not believers and who do not have the great guidance of the Holy Spirit just cannot discern.  Some may be upset by the violence or by some bizarre behavior of leaders, but they just can’t grasp all that is happening.  Only those who are born again, born of water and the Spirit, and who are filled with and baptized with the Spirit have the gifts of the Spirit.  And one of those gifts is discernment, the ability to look at a situation and discern the truth.  That is invaluable in these times.  And as Jesus said, the Holy Spirit guides us in all truth and shows us things to come. 

 

These are the last days.  We are living in days that Jesus compared to the days of Noah and Lot.  The people in those days continued with their daily lives, oblivious to what was happening soon about them.  And suddenly disaster hit them – a flood in Noah’s case and total destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Lot’s case.  The terrible behavior we read of people around Lot at the time is certainly in line with the terrible behavior we read of many in our time today.  Jesus warned us point blank of this.    Ideally believers today are ready to go with the Lord while at the same time, hopefully, using all the protections and spiritual tools God has given us to survive in this time and representing the Lord daily in all situations as the Holy Spirit guides.

 

May God bless each and every one of you and give you peace.  This is not a peaceful or enjoyable time on earth.  It is not a good time.  Only true believers know joy even in the midst of this dangerous mess.

 

Go forward as you are led and do the work of the Lord.

* WATCHMAN WARNING! - COME TO JESUS TIME!

It’s come to Jesus time!  That’s a popular expression, more often heard as a come to Jesus moment.  What it means is that time when a person realizes he has no help in a current situation other than Jesus, that time when a person is totally honest with the Lord about himself and his situation, that time when a person has totally repented of any sins he has committed.

 

A come to Jesus moment is the time when there is no dependence on self and total dependence on the Lord.

 

And that is where we are today, where we must be.

 

For some months I have stayed a bit away from all the shocking things happening about us and have focused on all the spiritual help the Lord has given us, such as all the protection tools, the authority to cast out demons, divine healing, other tools in fighting evil, who we are in Jesus, and the authority we have that Jesus has given us.

 

Well, it’s come to Jesus message time now.  This is a come to Jesus message. 

 

Surely you must realize where we are in God’s time.  Surely you must see all the evil going on around us in the various levels of government, media, business, education, and more.  Surely you must recognize all those people calling evil good and good evil.  Many of the big popular issues being put forward by the government and popular media and entertainers are nothing short of absolute insanity.  They make no sense.  (Yesterday I saw an advertisement for a movement to do away with all prisons and all police in the country.).

 

Jesus warned us about this time.  When the disciples asked him about the time we are living in, his first warning in three different gospels was to watch that we are not deceived.  Deception.  It is out there in a big way.  Now I don’t want you to be confused.  Yes, of course, it is true that many of these persons putting forward bizarre actions and propositions hope to deceive us.  But this deception goes deeper than that.  Many of those putting forward these views are deceived themselves.  They can’t see the truth.  That is why as so many have discovered that it is impossible to hold rational discussions on the popular subjects of the day.  People who might be described as woke persons, cancel culture persons, progressives, cannot discern the truth and cannot enter into rational discussions.

 

I hope you must realize by now that these troubling persons and their irrational agendas and actions and behaviors cannot be from God.  They cannot know God.  Of course not.  That is why they have been so deceived by the evil one, the devil.  They do not have the ability to discern truth.  America is a nation with a great number of godless people in key leadership positions.  A rabbi in Israel just said America is “tiny people with lots of money and power but no wisdom.”  Well, that’s one way of putting it.  My way:  America is led by godless people, in government, in media, in business, in entertainment and sports, in education.  Now we clearly see the results of having godless people in charge. 

 

Sadly, the people on earth who truly have that discerning ability are small in number indeed.  These are the born again, Spirit-filled and baptized persons who have the gifts of the Spirit and operate in those, such as the gift of discernment.  They immediately discern the complete falsehood of so many of those in leadership in the country today; and sadly, even though they may understand what I just wrote, they still marvel at how so many can believe so many lies. 

 

Yesterday I spoke with a believer who kept expressing frustration at persons she would speak to about God’s truths and yet they had no comprehension of what she was saying.  I pointed out that she knew why these people couldn’t comprehend.  She said yes she knew, but it was just so frustrating!  And I would add frightening!

 

While we believers know Jesus is coming soon and we have the great joy of knowing him now and having the Kingdom of God in us even now, we still have the physical reality on earth of seeing this country move steadily to being a totalitarian, socialist, authoritarian government where those wonderful individual freedoms we once cherished vanish one by one.  Godless people have the government as their god, and so they make that government all powerful.

 

Someone asked me yesterday why are Christians being attacked so much here and around the world, while other religious places such as mosques don’t seem to be so attacked?  Why are preachers under such threat for what they say in Canada, for example, while imams in mosques seem to be free of threat?  Well, the truth is obvious.  Jesus is the only way to God, the only hope for people.  These other religions have no meaning and no hope for their followers.  The devil is only threatened by Christians.  They are the only ones he really will attack and hopes to eliminate.  

 

The things happening now are terrible.  To use the term Paul used in communicating to Timothy about this age, they are perilous.  We believers do have the protections God has for us and we cannot afford to be idle and not use those protections.  And we must represent Jesus is all situations.  Remember again his statement that whoever disowns him before others, he will disown before his Father in heaven.

 

The only thing holding back the immediate return of the Lord right now, this minute, has to be that there are still some of those chosen before the creation of the world to be in God’s elect who have not yet come to a saving knowledge of Jesus or perhaps because of their location have not truly heard the gospel message.  But there can’t be many of those left, can there?  No there can’t.  Time is short.  Relative to the world’s whole history, we only have hours.

 

Stop wasting time.  Do whatever you can as the Holy Spirit leads to get the truths of the gospel out to others.  But don’t be so overcome with dismay when even people close to you will not listen and do not appear to understand or want to understand at all.  Jesus wrote specifically about how he had come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and so on.  In other words, unbeliever against believer.  That is the way it is and will be.

 

Beware of deception.  And beware of those false prophets out there who will tell you things you might want to hear but are not Biblical and not true.  There are preachers who say all people go to Heaven, but you know that is not true.  Jesus was explicit about that in so many ways – such as his words that the gate is small and the road that leads to life narrow, and few are they that find it.  Or his words that not everyone who says to him “Lord Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven but only he who does the will of his Father who is in heaven.  Jesus said he will say to some of these people “I never knew you.  Away from me, you evildoers.”  Obviously, Jesus must know us.  Which happens truly when we are born again and filled with and baptized with the Holy Spirit.

 

Jesus warned of false prophets, shortly after he warned of deception.  And as I gave an example above, there are such people today out there ministering, some very famous.  How about preachers who want to put Christianity together with Islam in the so called Chrislam, or the Pope who wants to get all the religions together.   Maybe you have noticed the recent conflict between the Pope and some American bishops who evidently think the current president should not be served communion because of his obvious evil actions (backing wholesale abortion, strong backing of the LGBTQ movement for example).  The Pope has warned the bishops about their not wanting to serve him communion, even though obviously those actions are not only counter to God and the Bible but also to the basic positions of the Catholic Church. 

 

You have to use the gift of discernment to recognize false prophets.

 

Let me give you one more false prophet possibility which some of you may consider a bit too wild.  Have you noticed all the publicity about UFO’s lately, and the fact the government is giving validity to all this with the release of UFO information soon?  If this continues to increase, don’t be surprised to see something really dramatic in the future such as a “spaceship” landing with someone pretending to be Jesus aboard, or some other similar stunt.  We are living in the age of lies and deception.

 

Put all your trust in God.  You have to take actions on earth of course, but you must do that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in line with what you know God’s truths to be.
