* SIGN OF THE TIMES: THIS IS GOD

 

 

There is obviously no limit to what Jesus and his Father would do to help people be reconciled to God.  The cross made that point.  Eventually individuals do have to realize who Jesus is and take him as the Lord of their life.  He is the only way to God, the only way to eternal life.  All else leads to eternity in the Lake of Fire, a place of burning sulfur, a place where the devil and the false prophet and the antichrist will spend eternity, the place where all nonbelievers will spend eternity.

 

God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, angels – all involved in our lives always as we are open to that.  Most people sadly never experience any of this and end up in that Lake for eternity.  Only a few as Jesus said find the way to life.

 

Believers, those born of water and the Spirit, live even now in the presence of God.  They see and experience God every day, those with increasing levels of discernment and spiritual sensitivity seeing ever more as they grow.

 

Sometimes God’s involvement may be as obvious as his actually speaking to us or doing something so very obvious right in front of our eyes.  Most often, though, the involvement we can discern is gentle and kind, soft or protective, orchestrating and moving and arranging.  A problem may be suddenly resolved.  Some need quietly met.  A door opened. 

 

Some issues in our life seem never to be resolved, and we don’t know why.  We wonder if we are to take steps but we see only hardship and pain if we take any of the obvious steps.  And we wait and ponder.  Somehow, we must let God in, let him orchestrate and arrange.  We don’t ever want to be ahead of God, but we don’t want to be way behind where he wants us either.  Our quandary.  So we pray and listen and seek.

 

God.  Ever and always.  Overwhelming.  All powerful, all seeing, all knowing.  Astoundingly kind and sensitive.  Absolutely refusing to accept sin and falsehood.  But forgiving, forgiving for all who come to him.  Because there was no limit to what he would do to reconcile people to himself.  And thus the cross.

 

Powerful and magnificent beyond our understanding.  And so gentle and understanding.

 

In line with all this, I thought I would share below a poem presenting a true, small, tender  experience from our lives when we lived on the coast.  Just typical of God.

 

 

 

FLOWER BOXES

She lived quietly by the sea,

 

On the very beach itself,

 

Her front yard only sand,

 

Her view the unending ocean.

 

 

 

Often as we passed on our way,

 

She quietly moved about,

 

Caring for flowers in boxes

 

Neatly stationed along deck rails.

 

 

 

She always wore bright scarves

 

Firmly wrapped about her head,

 

Their colorful patterns

 

Hiding the absence of hair.

 

 

 

We would see her from our house,

 

Steadily moving,

 

Watering plant after plant,

 

Gliding in a flowing skirt.

 

 

 

The years passed, four years,

 

And we noticed a “for sale” sign.

 

Well, she died, you know, we were told.

 

No, we did not. 

 

 

 

Suddenly new people arrived,

 

Filling the freshly painted house

 

With activity and new life.

 

No flower boxes could be seen.

 

 

 

Reborn, the house lives on,

 

With a new identity.

 

The past has disappeared.

 

Fresh life fills the rooms.

 

 

 

And the flowers that once grew,

 

So that she could water them,

 

Now bloom on other decks,

 

Their purpose here fully served.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: DO NOT LET PEOPLE GO INTO THE NIGHT

 

The Lord Jesus has given me various assignments over the years since he first called me.  One you are probably familiar with is the assignment to tell people who he is and that he is coming soon.  That probably is the overall assignment.

 

Looking back I see it was in 2006 he said to me one day, “John, the world is coming to an end.  Do not let people go into the night.”

 

If the Lord says something like that to you, you have to act.   I have tried to do my best for years to not let people go into the night, to tell people the truth in ways they can receive.  With the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit and the orchestrations of the Lord we have gone forward with all sorts of ministry programs, events, writings, recordings, videos, television.  Lots of people have heard the message in various ways.  In the course of all this we have encountered so many miracles, healed so many people as he has guided, fought so many battles against evil spirits, had direct encounters with angels either in their spirit form or when they are appearing as a human, and so much more.

 

When the Lord Jesus himself asks you to do something, comes and talks to you in the middle of the night, gives specific directions, orchestrates events obviously, all you can do is to act and to keep acting in seeking to fulfill all that.

 

The truth is most human beings do not know what is going on, they do not know the truths of the spiritual realm and that it is the spiritual realm that made us and the physical world we live in.  They also probably don’t truly know that this world still is under the control of the devil, the evil one, as John the disciple pointed out so clearly at the end of 1 John 5.  And if they don’t know Jesus truly, they don’t have all the great tools God has for us in fighting against that evil and in protecting ourselves and in finding God’s path through life. So many tools, such as the armor of God and the gifts of the Spirit including that invaluable discernment gift.  But being born again, knowing Jesus, comes first. 

 

Again and always, ask the Holy Spirit to arrange all encounters he would have you have and to guide you in all those.  Never stop doing what you can to help the Father draw others to Jesus.

* TAKE A STAND AGAINST HURRICANE ISAIAS!!! NOW!

  

 

Here we are again needing to apply the truths and the authority the Lord has given us believers to take a stand against a dangerous storm.  This time it is hurricane ISAIAS  in the Gulf of Mexico which seems to be targeting landfall in the panhandle of Florida or coastal Alabama  and then moving on north to affect potentially many states – Georgia,  Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee,  South and North Carolina, perhaps more.  Already this is a serious hurricane.

 

Remember, Jesus said believers can do the same thing he did, even greater.  He also said he would do whatever believers ask him in his name.  And the Father will give us whatever we ask him in Jesus' name.  And that we can order mountains in our life away.  We can order them to throw themselves into the sea (See John 14:12-14; John 16:23: Mark 11:22-23).

 

The mountain right now for those living in the target areas is the storm ISAIAS.  It's time right now once again to use these truths and the authority the Lord has given us and to put our faith into action.  The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of power and not just words!

 

I ask everyone wherever you are to pray against this storm, to take a stand (I personally like to step outside and face in the direction of the storm, raising arm and hand with palm to the storm.  For most of us, that direction would be facing south or southwest at this time.).

 

 In your own words, declare something like this: 

 

 In Jesus' name, I order the hurricane named ISAIAS to turn aside from land, to stay at sea and to diminish in power and disappear.  In Jesus’ name, rain and wind cease!  In Jesus' name, I order ISAIAS to harm no people and animals, no land, buildings, or boats.  And in Jesus’ name, I order no flooding and no storm surge! 

 

 Be bold! You can put this in your own words, but that is what Jesus said we can do.  Remember, he changed the weather.

 

 

 

Do it now!

WATCHMAN WARNING: REMEMBERING 9/11 - IT’S MESSAGE TO US

 

Today September 11 we remember again an atrocious day twenty-five years ago, a horrible day.   That was a day when absolute evil committed horrible acts attacking the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, in the process killing more than 3,000 people there and on three hijacked airplanes who were just involved in their daily work activities or transportation to work.  More than 9,000 others have died since then from 9/11 related illnesses (injuries and the effects of smoke, chemicals and more). 

 

That attack was committed by a group of non-American Muslims.

 

I have written more than once of the obvious centuries old objective of Islam of taking over the world.  I write about this often because most in the West I think don’t realize it.  That long term objective of Islam began after Mohammed’s death many centuries ago. At that time a Muslim army swept out of Arabia through northern Africa and into Spain and eventually France, conquering the northern African countries and converting them by force into Muslim nations. Thankfully for all Western civilization Charles Martel of France led an army against the Muslims and defeated them in Tours France, stopping this rolling victory parade for Islam. But as we see even today, that is only temporary.  Large numbers of Muslim immigrants into European countries today are changing the character and culture of many of those nations.

 

In the USA Muslim immigration has been at a smaller number but we now see pockets where they have had a terrible impact.  Dearborn Michigan is like a Muslim city, with minarets blaring calls to prayer five times a day.  Parts of Texas and elsewhere continually have to fight back and squash efforts to have sharia law apply.  And Minnesota, sadly, we all see what that state has become.

 

The overall objective of Islam has never changed.

 

Islam is a false religion.  Allah is not God, the God of Christianity, of Judaism.  Muslims do not know if they go to heaven when they die.   Their savior is the Mahdi, a mysterious being who comes in a time of great conflagration.  That expected coming in part is what is behind the extraordinary fanatical leadership and determination of Iran’s regime.

 

Americans surely should never forget 9/11.  They also should never forget who committed this atrocity.  Radical Muslims.  This whole action was one led by the evil one of course, the devil.  There is nothing good at all in this horror other than the noble acts of individuals who sacrificed their own lives to save others that day.

 

The fundamental kindness and openness of Americans and indeed of many Westerners leads them to be so vulnerable to Islam and welcoming to Muslims, most of whom of course are only a passive part of the movement toward world control.

 

Citizens of the US and Europe must be alert and aware of what is going on in their countries.  Yes we are clearly living in the very last days, the time of Jesus’ return to collect his believers.  But we do not know specifically when that will be even though all signs point to it’s being soon.  And all believers must work to stand up for the Lord and his truths and their civilizations and nations right up to that return.  We must be doing the Lord’s work, telling people who Jesus is and that he is coming soon.  Muslims indeed surely can also change and accept Jesus as their Lord.  There are reports from time to time of that happening even in Muslim nations.  We should pray for God to lead them to Jesus.  And as with all other lost people, we should ask and be led by the Holy Spirit in our doing our part to help God in this leading.

ALL AROUND US - PEOPLE PERISHING IN OUR MIDST

In our day many people are perishing because they refuse to love truth and so turn and be saved. Despite God’s great patience, they just never recognize the truth of life – e.g., God and the gospel message of the Bible. So God gives them over to a depraved mind and they do what ought not to be done. He gives them over to a spirit of delusion. 

These few sentences summarize the essence of 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 and Romans 1:28-32. There is more to read in both chapters about the subject. But this certainly gives an explanation for many of those in society who seem truly lost, unable to engage in rational discussion of issues and unable to see and recognize basic truths, at times leading very bizarre lifestyles. We see these troubled people in our daily lives, in the news, in their at times violent and irrational behavior in support of dangerous ideas. God has given them over to a spirit of delusion, and that is the dark place from which they view life and the world. To the extent any of these achieve any positions of power and authority in government or other significant organizations, all people are at risk. 

Here are the core scriptures: 

… and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. – 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. – Romans 1:28-32 

Of course there are still many more who are just spiritually lost and have not yet heard or realized the truths of Jesus and the gospel. And many of these have been led astray by the deception that Jesus warned all of us of in these last days.

* WATCHMAN WARNING: EVIL AT THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER

God the Father and the Lord Jesus have given believers the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Those baptized in the Spirit have wonderful gifts, including the important gift of discernment, or discerning of spirits.  They are able to discern when they are being lied to, when they are confronting falsehood.  People without that gift don’t have that direct ability.  They have to try to figure things out.  They are easily misled.  They are the overwhelming majority of people in America and on earth today.

 

Even a very average intellect can see the dinner at the Washington Hilton hotel did not have adequate security.  People could come and go in the hotel.  After all, it is a private hotel.

 

The shooter was able to assemble a weapon not far from that event.

 

Officials praise and thank the Secret Service and other security for stopping the shooter.  And indeed they need to be thankful for that. But what if this attacker had had a bomb or some other such device?  He would have been right there and could have set it off.  We might be writing about a real horror today. 

 

This is just more pure evil in the last days.  I saw the headline in the NY Post shortly after the event.  The main headline was “EVIL.”  They had it right.  That’s it.  Most media and most government leaders just do not get it because they don’t know and they don’t have that discernment gift.

 

Evil is pervasive in these last days.  Why didn’t we hear that from the political leaders and the commentators?

 

As to the fact that no one was seriously injured or killed, thanks go of course to God.  Why didn’t we hear that from everyone? 

 

Reflecting  after the fact, why hold such an event in such an obviously insecure place? 

 

And to top all this I am thinking about the fact that this atrocious US Congress has not approved a bill to pay salaries for the Secret Service and other essential groups charged with protecting the President and Americans in general.

 

In the last days, God turns those who refuse to accept the truth over to a spirit of delusion.  It surely appears that this has been and is happening right now.  Many of the confused and out-of-control  disruptive people in our day seem highly deluded, unable to discuss things rationally.  But sadly so too are many who quietly occupy positions of authority but seem incapable of coming to a meaningful understanding of what is going on and incapable of needed action,

 

Many of the people we see every day are clearly godless.   They don’t know Jesus.  They haven’t been born again.  They don’t have the Holy Spirit and the gifts.  And they stumble around, some in leadership roles in all fields and some in roles of out of control rebels.

 

Frightening.

 

Jesus is coming soon.  Believers know that.  He can’t come soon enough for most.

 

I remember words the Lord said to me on this subject years ago:  

 

“When I come things will be different.” 

 

Yes they will.  Thankfully.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES - ON OUR WAY HOME

 

Sometimes in a world in turmoil we just need a moment of quiet and reflection, a moment of peace.  So here it is.

We believers in Jesus are on our way home.  We are always on our way home and have been ever since (1) he rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, and (2) we accepted Jesus as our Lord.  Up to now this going home has always involved the process of physically dying, but now we are so close to the Lord’s return to collect his believers that we realize many living believers will never die physically but will go with Jesus when he comes to collect his believers.

We have never felt truly at home here have we, not on this planet with so much mayhem and confusion and godlessness and evil around.  The whole world is under the control of the evil one, as John tells us in 1 John 5:19.  Our true home is where Jesus and the Father are.  Eternal life is being with them. 

Over the years I’ve written often about home, and I’ve been thinking about that wonderful subject again. One of my favorite writers, Robert Frost, wrote about home long ago in his Death of the Hired Man poem.  In a conversation there between a husband and wife, one says:

                             'Home is the place where, when you have to go there,

                        They have to take you in.'

The other replies:

                        'I should have called it

                        Something you somehow haven't to deserve.'

These two incredible sentences capture it all, don’t they.  Home is a place you don’t have to deserve.  Heaven is our home, being with the Lord, with God.  We can’t deserve that.  We don’t deserve that.  But we believers get in anyway.  Why?  They have to take us in, because we are believers in Jesus! 

We don’t deserve to be there, but because of Jesus and our faith in him they have to take us in.

Home.  I’m ready for that place, and I expect you are too.

Here is my own poem on this subject written years ago.  You may have already seen it.

 

                              WE ARE NEVER HOME

                        We are never home.

                        Not now.  Not here.

                        No matter how we try.

                        We cannot get there.

 

                        The moments of joy

                        Family and friends bring

                        Cannot dispel

                        The longing of our hearts.

 

                        Harsh though the words,

                        God’s children are

                        Strangers in a foreign land,

                        Aliens on planet earth.

 

                        This is not our world.

                        But we will soon be home,

                        That we know.

                        Our hope is secure.

    

There is no doubt we believers are on our way home.

* SIGN OF THE TIMES: DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE

  

Surely this is true for the Jews even today.  Few indeed of them know who Jesus is and have accepted him as their Lord.  So the overwhelming bulk of the Jews on earth will have to live through the horrors of the Tribulation; Jews living in Jerusalem will have to suffer all the horrors described about that time in Zechariah 14 and elsewhere.

 

But this verse also applies to some believers in Jesus today who just do not know all that God is and what he has for us.  So many are just unwilling to spend the time studying or reading the Bible and being guided by the Holy Spirit.  They prefer to attend church like going to a theater, to watch and hear what some other person has to say.  Even if that person is an excellent teacher and preacher, he has only a limited amount of time in these formal services to teach a point.

 

Without knowledge, so many of God’s believers do not know all the tools he has for our protection.  They do not know the reality of divine healing.  They do not have revelation of what is happening and soon to happen.  And they make life decisions without the divine guidance that is so crucial and valuable.

 

I know of a very famous pastor who was led into his life’s work by the above verse.  He was sitting in an audience at some type of religious service.  People were called forward for some reason, and as they went forward he saw them as stick figures, as line pencil drawings.  He was horrified and called out to God, what is this?  God answered with the above verse from Hosea.   And his ministry really was born.

 

In the book of Jeremiah, God describes his people then (the Jews, for there were no Christian believers then) as being foolish, not knowing him, being stupid children, not having any understanding (Jeremiah 4:22) .  The book of Isaiah explains why the northern Israeli tribes had gone into captivity by saying they have no knowledge (Isaiah 5:13).

 

In this most difficult of times in which we are living, do your best to read and meditate about the Bible every day.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding, reveal truths, even  to guide you to the specific section you should be reading at a particular time.  Use our materials and those of other serious Bible based ministries to help.  You don’t want God applying Hosea 4:6 to you.

* THANKSGIVING IN THE UNITED STATES

 This Thanksgiving I thought it worthwhile to send again the following short piece which has been sent out at several previous Thanksgivings. 

   

I also think it good to reflect on these scriptures at this time:

 

I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. (Psalm 69:30)

 

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. (Psalm 95:2 )

 

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6 )

 

 

 

 

THE HISTORY OF THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY IN THE US

 

 

Throughout the 1700’s individual colonies evidently held periodic days or times of thanksgiving.  Thomas Jefferson did this while governor of Virginia.

 

In 1777 right in the middle of the Revolutionary War the Colonial Congress recommended a day of thanksgiving.

 

In 1789, the first year of the first presidency of the US under the new Constitution, George Washington issued a proclamation establishing a day of thanksgiving that year.  Here are a few of his words from the proclamation: 

 

• it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour…
• I do recommend and assign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be…
• we may … unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions

Abraham Lincoln finally established legally the annual holiday we observe on the fourth Thursday of November each year.  Here are a few words from his proclamation:

 

I do …invite my fellow citizens …to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.

 

May all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and offer thanks then – and everyday – just as these great past leaders of the nation led the nation in doing.

WATCHMAN WARNING: THE FUNDAMENTAL THREAT TO ALL ON EARTH THESE LAST DAYS

 

When Arab Muslims rode forth from Arabia after Mohammed had died many centuries ago, they took Islam to the world.  They focused on areas near to them, riding and conquering the northern African nations before moving across into Spain.  Always, fundamentally, it was convert or die.

Thanks to the French leader Charles Martel, this attacking hoard was stopped in Tours France, and Europe and the West survived to bring about the modern word.  But the Muslim goal has never gone away.

Now in our day more and more Muslims steadily move into all the western nations and elsewhere, establishing roots, having children.  And the naïve residents just let it all happen.  So in England there is a Muslim mayor of London.  And NY City now has the same.  The real fear for NY City is not that the new mayor is a socialist; it is that he is a Muslim.

In places in Europe sharia law effectively is already enforced. 

Slowly but surely, illegal and legal Muslim immigrants have invaded France, and Ireland, and the United Kingdom, and Germany, and Sweden, and so on.  Widespread assaults on women become the norm, assaults that the elected authorities there amazingly just will not clamp down on.  Evidently they are too frightened and intimidated by these Muslim immigrants or too fundamentally ignorant of what is going on.  Surprisingly the citizens are just too meek or too stupid to rise up and respond, as is their government, and their nations are being lost.  They just can’t seem to grasp what is happening or be willing to pay the necessary cost to confront it.

And now in the US certain pockets have already been taken over, like Dearborn Michigan.  There are places in Dearborn where the Muslim call to prayer five times a day is heard loudly.    That is under consideration elsewhere as well.  Imagine hearing the blaring, loud, shattering call to Muslin prayer blasted out everywhere from a minaret in your town.  I have experienced that blaring call in several Arabian cities, followed by the religious police searching to make sure the Arabs go to the mosque.

This movement is not our culture, not our truth, not our God.  This centuries old Muslim movement  wants to take over.  Quite obviously it is of the devil.  The Muslim god is not God, the creator of the universe.  There is no great love and forgiveness in the Koran.  And gullible naïve westerners – both everyday people and leaders - continue to just focus on their narrow personal worlds as their entire nations and societies are being taken over. 

Yes, individual Muslims you may know can be warm and friendly.  But yes too, Islam, the most successful of the false religions, continues its goal of world domination.  Convert or die.  The devil never stops.  He will not, until the end of this age. Everywhere steady progress is being made by the Muslims, sometimes violently, sometimes quietly.

With all this as background, I tell you now in these very clear words – this is how the one world government of the Antichrist comes about soon during the Tribulation. 

Let me share now this revelation:

The Antichrist is a Muslim Arab.  Not someone from Europe as so many have supposed over the years.  How do I know?   The Lord told me.  Very clearly in very specific words.

Several years ago late one day my wife Cathy and I sat in our ministry office in Wilmington NC praying.  Suddenly, as he is apt to do at times, the Lord spoke to me and said the Antichrist is a Muslim, an Arab from an Arab country. 

The Lord went further.  He said that I know him.  Now I don’t know a name and I don’t know to whom the Lord was referring.   But I have worked with many Muslims several decades ago, in Saudi Arabia and Egypt and the Sudan.  And I have been thinking about all this ever since, but so far I cannot think who it might be and the Lord has not told me.  But I do share this for you to think and pray about. 

[You might be interested – just after the Lord told me this and I had shared it with Cathy, suddenly the outside metal door to our office shook violently for several seconds.  It was as if someone was shaking it by the outside door handle.  We were really startled.  It was night and no one was in the parking lot outside.  I checked through the windows and no one was there.  I checked the back of the office too, and no one was there.  Clearly the evil one did not like our conversation.]

One other confirming message from God on the Antichrist:  About twenty years ago I was in a television studio waiting to appear as a guest on a program.  At the moment taping was underway of a woman hosting a program on Israel that at the time I think was on Daystar.  I stood in the dark in the wings watching it all.  Soon the taping was finished.  The woman host got up and walked over to me.  She was carrying an old VHS video tape.  The woman said, “I was supposed to bring this tape today.  I think it is for you.”  I had never seen her before.  The tape was titled Unveiling the Man of Sin and identified the Antichrist as an Arab Muslim!

Our world right now is under great attack from the evil one.  There are lost, ungodly delusional people operating as true anarchists in the US and elsewhere in the world now, seeking to uproot and destroy law and order and government and such.  And then there is this giant Muslim movement everywhere leading to ever greater world control and the one world government..

The Lord will soon come to take his believers away.  The Antichrist, a Muslim Arab from an Arab country, will then step out and lead Israel into an agreement.  This is as described in Daniel 9:27.   When that agreement is made, the seven year Tribulation will begin.
