That’s the title.
That’s the word – for our leaders – government, politicians, media, even
some of the national religious leaders and some of the pastors of local
churches.
Cowards!
We are living in the last of the last days. Events are moving forward at a record
pace. Life is getting difficult for
many.
Just last Thursday we saw another branch of militant islam
attacking and killing Christians at a Christian service at a Kenyan
university. The number killed as
reported thus far is 147. The group Al
Shabaab based in nearby Somalia took the credit. That’s just another branch of militant islam,
along with ISIS, Al-Quaida, Boko-Haran, and more. Stretching through many nations, their reach
increases daily. And behind some of this
and other mayhem in the world is the leadership of Iran itself, funding,
sending weapons, and doubtless continuing on its plan to construct nuclear
weapons. Do you remember when the
previous president of Iran was in power?
His thoughts focused on the return of the mahdi, the islam version of a
messiah, who in the world of islam is to come when the world is in
torment. So naturally getting the world
into torment is not anything to be avoided, not to the leaders in Iran.
All the while so many
in the US ignore everything. It’s
blindness, incompetence, and perhaps even on the part of some a flat out evil
determination to bring the US to a lower level.
In recent years we’ve come to see over and over the lack of
response from our government and political leaders. But where are the prominent national
religious leaders, those with the enormous following? And where are the bold local church
pastors? What has happened to all their
voices? Are they going to speak up about
what is happening so viciously to Christians in many lands, as well as about
how the government and media every day make it harder for true believers to
live, about how lost so many of the churches in our nation are in their
focusing on light-weight subjects and never delving into the return, into the truths
of the Spirit and the gifts of the spirit.
Time is almost up. We
need some leaders who don’t just declare themselves Christians but really do
know Jesus, who are born again, born of water and the Spirit, as Jesus said was
the requirement to be in the Kingdom of God.
Where are they? We need some bold
Christians. Certainly the enemy has many
bold individuals speaking out and demonstrating and clamoring for his
views. When are the real Christians
going to speak out and step out?
Time to wake up. Time
to realize what a charade is going on around you in the government and the
media and even much of the formal religious world. Time to tell the truth to as many as you can,
whether they thank you or not.
One of the prophecies of God is that he will pour out his
spirit in the last days. I pray that is
soon. Something has to happen to wake up
a sleeping and naïve society.
