* ANOTHER CALL TO ACTION: TO ALL WHO LIVE ON THE COAST (and really anywhere)

Eleven days ago we issued a warning and request for action regarding the terrible hurricane Irma that was heading toward the US East Coast.  The storm was then a category 5 hurricane and was in the process of ravaging several Caribbean Islands.  Because of your efforts and those of other believers, thank God Irma did not proceed directly to hit the Mid-Atlantic States or the Atlantic Coast of Florida. Even though it brought great hardship to the Keys and to many places in Florida, by the time it made landfall on the West Coast of Florida it had decreased significantly in power.
Now it is time for believers to take action against two more storms.  One is Jose, currently a category 1 hurricane that appears to be heading away from land although it may skirt the New England Coast and impact the Mid-Atlantic and Northern Coast of the US.  But the other, Maria, is already a category 3 major hurricane growing in power and is right in the midst of the Caribbean again.  Its path as of now appears to continue westward over several places already hit by Irma and perhaps eventually straight at Florida or the US East Coast in general.
So now I repeat the same message as before, this time for Jose and Maria:
In John 14:12-14, Jesus said that those who believe will do the same things he had been doing.
In Mark 11:22-23 he made the point that anyone who has faith can say to their mountain “go and throw yourself into the sea,” and if they believe and do not doubt, it will be done as they have said.
It’s time right now once again to focus on these verses and to put your faith into action.  The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of power and not just word!  It is these verses and others that lead us to realize that in Jesus all things are possible.
What did Jesus do?  He healed the sick.  He also changed the weather.  And much more.    And he says we can do the same things as he.
Well, we do.  People do receive their healing!  And the weather is changed!
The mountain for those living along the coast today is the harsh and strong storm named Irma.
So all believers – and that includes you – should go outside and face the ocean, wherever you are.  In Jesus’ name speak to the storms Jose and Maria today, right now.  Order their winds to diminish.  Order them to turn away from any coast and dissipate and disappear.  And whatever else the Holy Spirit guides you to speak, all in Jesus’ name.
The miracles we have seen in this ministry have all happened because we take Jesus at his word.
So what are you waiting for?
May you live in the blessings of God always.
Keep Your Eyes on Jesus!

* GOD MOMENT: THE TWO YEAR OLD GIRL

Shortly before Christmas one year a woman called our office.  She had attended many of our weekly programs several years before.  Her granddaughter was suffering from a cancerous brain tumor, and the medical world had no more steps to take.  The major hospital treating her had sent her home, evidently to die.  The little 2 year old girl was passing out frequently, and the family just thought that one day she would pass out and not wake up.  The woman asked to bring the girl to our office for healing prayer.  I knew from our past relationship that the woman had great faith.
So the woman and the granddaughter and the mother of the granddaughter came to the office.  The little girl was precious.  Cathy held her hand and showed her around the office.  I spoke about healing for a short while to the grandmother and the mother, covering the basics of what the Lord has done for us.  And then while the grandmother held the granddaughter, I prayed healing for her.
Sometime after Christmas there was a message on the office telephone.  The family had taken the little girl to the major hospital for a checkup.  And the grandmother announced on the telephone message that the doctors said that 82% of the tumor had disappeared!  She thanked me for praying.  I called her back and we rejoiced together.
A few weeks later another message appeared on our telephone system.  It was the grandmother again, joyfully announcing that another hospital visit showed that 94% of the tumor had disappeared.  I called her back, and said, “You know what is going to happen the next time you take her there!”
Then a few weeks later came the message: 100% of the tumor has disappeared.  The grandmother was thankful and joyful. "You can use this account anytime, anywhere," she exclaimed.
Praise God!

* "THE TIME IS NEAR, THE WAR IS CLOSE, PROTECT YOURSELF AND PRAY"

Those are words the Lord gave us Sunday afternoon August 6 as we prayed.

THE TIME IS NEAR
What time?  The time I believe of the beginning of the Day of the Lord, the final steps in the end of this age.  We know Jesus has not yet returned to collect his CHURCH, his true believers, although that could happen any time, even while you are reading this.  And we know the seven year Tribulation period has not yet begun, that entire period which occurs at the end of the age and which might be called the Day of the Lord.

We know from 2 Thessalonians, 2:3 that this Day of the Lord will not begin until there is a great falling away from God, a rebellion, an apostasy, and also until the man of lawlessness, the anti-christ, is revealed.  Well, we certainly have been living for some time now in a time of a great falling away from God.  How many people do you know who are truly believers of Jesus Christ, followers of the Lord, born anew, born of water and the spirit?  How many?  I would suggest it is a very, very small percentage of the human population today in America and the world.  Even among all those who go to some church building on Sunday, a large number are certainly not born again and do not know the Holy Spirit.

Look at the daily news, the daily entertainment on television and in the movie theaters and on the Internet.  Much of that look like things of God?  Hardly.

Jesus’ first warning about these days was for us to watch that we are not deceived.  And Paul wrote about the spirit of delusion that would be here now.  Certainly we see that everywhere in society.  So many people are just lost.

We have met the first criteria there – falling away from God.

And the second?  No, the anti-christ has not yet been identified.  But that could happen soon surely.
Another criterion for the beginning of that seven year Tribulation period is the signing of a peace agreement, or covenant, involving the Jews, Israel.  Daniel 9:7 points this out.  It also makes the point that the person, the leader who brings that about, is indeed the anti-christ.  Well, people are constantly trying to bring about some type of peace agreement aren’t they?  The government has just sent its team again to the Middle East to work on this.

The time is near.  Yes it is.

THE WAR IS CLOSE
Certainly feels that way doesn’t it?  The entire country seems to be in upheaval.  Many people internally in the US seem incapable of understanding or tolerating each other.  That ability most of us remember from just a few years past when people of different opinions were able to debate and discuss things calmly and rationally seems to have vanished.  The evil one is having a field day among much of the population and the government.  Bizarre crazy behavior is seen every day in the cities and the universities and Washington DC and the television reports and so on.

But what does this mean?  What war?

We know from the Bible there are these three wars yet to come:
·         The Psalm 83 war involves Israel and the arab muslim countries around it.
·         The Ezekiel 38-39 war involves an attack on Israel from nations to the North – specifically and apparently Russia, Turkey, and Iran, plus a couple smaller ones.
·         Armageddon, the final battle in which the Lord destroys the forces against him, killing them all, the anti-christ and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire, and the devil is imprisoned in a deep pit.
These wars haven’t happened.  Maybe they all will happen during the seven year period.

Are there other wars not necessarily involving the Jews and Israel?  It appears that is highly likely.  Look at all the uproar over North Korea.  Does something happen that makes the USA of little effect during the Tribulation period, for it does not appear in any of the three wars mentioned?

Maybe, and I think this is the case, the phrase “the war is close” refers to the general nature and characteristic of the time about to begin, one of a general state of war.  It is for sure the war between good and evil is underway and ever increasing.  You know that is going on right now in the spiritual realm.  And as it spills over into the physical realm, we have all the uproar and confusion and the wars above.

PROTECT YOURSELF
How?  Physically?  Spiritually?

Yes.

We’ve published several newsletters and Watchman Warnings over the years on the need for the believers to protect themselves.   Look them up on our web site and read them.  Or go to the web site and watch the videos on fighting evil.  Or request our CD with the same title.

God has given us the great protection of his armor.  Paul described this in detail in Ephesians 6.  Read the December 2016 newsletter on our website.  Don’t get up any day without first putting that armor on yourself and your family.

God has also sent all of us who will inherit salvation his angels to serve us.  Protection is one thing these angels do very well.  Those believers who are spiritually sensitive know the angels are around them now.  Every day thank God for his angels protecting you and your family and your home and car.  When you are traveling around, ask God to hold you and your vehicle in the palm of his hands, to keep you well and safe and those on the road with you as well.

Regarding physical protection I think you need to pray and seek God’s will and plan for you.  Some people have put in some stores of water and food in case it becomes difficult to get that in the days before the Lord comes to collect his believers.  Some others of course have physical weapons.  At the least you might want to have a plan of where to go if you must leave where you are living or where various members of your family might meet up if for some reason communications become disconnected.

PRAY
This goes without saying.  Pray.  Whenever and wherever you would.  Pray seriously.  Pray in the spirit, in tongues.  Seek the Lord.  Listen.  Listen.  Be alert for his guidance.  It may come in direct words to you or your spouse.  Or it may come in sudden opportunities, open doors, words from a friend that you realize are from God.  Or some other way.

Why don’t you live in a condition of prayer?  I mean, why don’t you just continue in that close relationship with God after you have had your specific time of sit-down prayer in the morning?  Why not never really say a final amen ending the prayer?  Just keep it open as you go through the day, talking to God whenever you need to.  He is always there.

THE TIME IS NEAR, THE WAR IS CLOSE, PROTECT YOURSELF AND PRAY.

That is pretty clear and succinct.  God’s words to us.  We pass them on to you.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus!

*GOD MOMENT: THE CAT MAKES THE POINT

Never, ever choose a church to join solely because it is close to your home and you won't have to travel so far.  Never.

Many years ago back before God had called me away from the big business world, my family had for months thought about finding a new church to attend.  The one we regularly went to was several miles away, so far in fact that only a couple of the people we knew in our town attended the same church.  We had long thought it would be good to go to a church attended by others in our neighborhood and town.  Finally, we decided to act.  One Sunday we attended the morning service at a nearby church and found it warm and enjoyable.  We came back the next week, and the next.  The services were emotionally moving.  The minister often brought people to tears with his dramatic sermons.  Always, the church was packed.  And, it was so close to home.

Soon we participated in the required classes for new members, and we officially joined together with several other newcomers.  All the new members were friendly.  We even held a dinner for the group in our home.

Alas, we had been too quick.  We had not thoroughly examined this new church.  Worse, we certainly hadn’t prayed enough before taking such an important step.

In a Sunday service not long after becoming a member, I noticed that the words to some classic hymns had been changed.  My wife confirmed the observation.  We saw this happen again and again over the next several weeks, and we asked others who joined with us if they were noticing these changes.  They were.

What’s more, the pastor’s interpretation of scripture from the Bible proved to be disturbing.  One Sunday he revealed his opinion that each person could decide for him or herself whether to accept specific passages of scripture as truth.  He thought it fine to agree with some portions of the Bible but not with others.  In a few weeks there were additional discoveries concerning questionable behavior taking place in one of the two parsonages owned by the church.

How could we be members of such an organization?  What kind of an influence was this pastor on us, on others?

Most who had recently joined decided to leave.  It was either that or fight for a change, and the new members didn’t think that action an appropriate course for them.  We did pray, many times, before making a decision to leave, and we began visiting other churches.  Attending any of these required riding several miles but that was no longer a concern.

In the course of our leaving the church we had so recently joined, the pastor there called one day and asked to come for a visit.  When he arrived, we showed him into the living room.  My wife, the pastor, and I all sat on an L-shaped sofa, the pastor in the middle.  It was soon clear he wanted to convince us that we were wrong in our decision, that we were being judgmental.  He was very defensive.

As we talked, our adult male cat, a wonderful gray and white that had been with us for ten years, walked into the room.  Fluffy always was on his best behavior when guests were around.  In fact, he was always on good behavior, never getting on the furniture or bothering anyone.

This particular day Fluffy slowly approached the sofa, rubbing past my wife’s leg on his way as he always did.  Staying close by the edge of the sofa, he proceeded to the spot where the pastor sat.  In one quick moment, while we continued with our discussion and barely noticed the cat, Fluffy stopped over the foot of the pastor and proceeded to relieve himself right on top of the pastor’s shoe.

The gasps from the three of us were clearly audible.  For a moment all our mouths were open but no words were spoken.  Never had Fluffy done that before, nor did he ever do that again.  My wife and I quickly moved to clean up the mess.  The pastor uttered only a few more words and then departed.  I still smile about that day when God used our cat to make a point in a language that could not be ignored.

At least two obvious lessons were taught by this entire experience.  First, no one should ever choose a church for so superficial a reason as its being close to home.  And the second?  God has a sense of humor.

* IS AMERICA REALLY TURNING AROUND?

The various steps taken by the new government in Washington to appoint more conservative persons to cabinet and judicial and other positions and the presidential edicts and potentially significant law changes in taxes and health care and such all signal a turning around of the big government train that has been rolling in Washington for the past several decades.

If the current administration holds on to the mantle of government in the White House and both houses of Congress for the full four years and perhaps even for eight years, they have a real chance to put a dent in and begin a turnaround from the move toward the one-world big government that knows best and is involved in every aspect of people’s lives.

But…and this is a really a big but…none of this turns around the real disaster of America these last several decades.  What is that?  The dramatic fall in morality, in the strong stand for good as opposed to evil, the understanding that there really is truth and that that truth comes from God and the Bible.

Regardless of what the left and the extremist demonstrators want you to hear and believe, the United States really was founded as a Christian nation.  The only reasons that was not expressly declared in the Constitution are these:
·        the founders did not want the government to have a specific state church singled out from other possible denominations
·        they wanted to protect freedom of religion from actions of the government
·       they apparently – or at least most of them – never ever conceived of the threat to the homeland of such alien and false religions as islam.

And most assuredly they never ever conceived of millions of Americans who do not understand the basis of the United States of America, have blindly missed the fundamentals of the nation, fail to comprehend the essentials of this great democratic approach to government, and so clearly operate outside the key beliefs that have made the country great.

You perhaps have heard this but it does not hurt to hear it again.  Consider just three examples.

The first permanent colony in the United States from England was settled at Jamestown in Virginia.  When Parson Hunt and others went ashore in Virginia on April 29, 1607, they erected a seven foot tall oak cross they had brought from England.  And Hunt consecrated the continent to the glory of God.
Much later, a hundred and sixty-nine to a hundred and eighty years later, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution were written and signed.  A huge number of those signing and participating as delegates were clergy, whether they were practicing preachers or not.  Many of the colleges they had attended were in fact seminaries.
And make no mistake about it, the American Revolution itself was miraculous, this victory of a colonial army over the greatest military power on earth.  George Washington obviously was God’s appointed man to lead that conflict and soon the new nation.  There are so many stories of his being out there leading and not ever being shot. Consider – he was six feet two and rode a white horse.  Think that stood out in battle or wherever he went?  I’ll say.

So what has to happen now?

Much.
·        A return of the people to God
·        A fundamental change in the character and belief systems of those operating as professors and administrators in the nation’s universities and colleges.
·       A fundamental change in the character and belief systems of those operating as teachers and administrators in the school systems.
·       A waking-up of the pastors and other Christian leaders of the nation to the truth that they are not teaching the full gospel, are not serving as proper shepherds for the flock, are not preparing the people for the Lord, have largely been leading social institutions bent on building memberships or sadly just maintaining deadly dull and cold buildings where attendees come out of tradition and endure boring and trite ceremonies and messages.

The Bible so clearly warns us of the very dangerous group of people that has been and is wreaking havoc on this nation.  The great scripture from 2 Corinthians 4:4 makes the point that the god of this world (the devil) has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel.  They can’t.  And their actions demonstrate that fact.  Our founders and most believers in America never thought we would suddenly face such a huge group of virulent unbelievers.  But we do.

All of us must pray for God’s guidance.  All of us.  It is a time of getting down on our knees and sincerely praying.  It is a time of seeking to hear God.  None of those perfunctory prayers, the formal cold ceremonial words.  No.  We need heart-felt prayers.  We need prayer in the spirit, as Paul so advises.  And we need to spend real time praying, and waiting, and listening to God.  And time in reading and studying the scriptures of the greatest book, the Bible.

And we need true, Godly leaders in this society.  We need those types of people in all areas of society.

May God have mercy on this nation and its people.  We don’t deserve that mercy to be sure.  But God’s grace has given us Jesus and the gift of salvation.  Surely his grace can cover this current situation.

Regardless of how long we have until the Lord’s return, we must move in this direction.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus!

* GOD MOMENT: JUST FOR YOU

Perspiration trickled steadily from my forehead after standing three hours in line with my wife and perhaps ten thousand other people outside the coliseum.  We had driven several hundred miles the day before to attend a series of wonderful crusade meetings.  Now we were waiting for the doors to open for the last and likely most eventful session.

The line finally began to move, and slowly we crept forward.  For more than twenty minutes we moved until at last we were able to enter the building.  Quickly we hurried to entrance ramps to the seat sections.

Every meeting had been crowded.  In fact, a few thousand people the night before had been unable to get in.

As we emerged inside the arena, our hearts sank.  It appeared that every seat already was taken.

Quickly we went back down the ramp and hurried as best we could in the dense crowd to another section.  Again, no seats.  We repeated the process over and over.

Slowly we began to realize that we might be among the ones forced to go outside.

As a last attempt, hurrying before the announcement was made that all standing must leave, we walked around to the section beside the stage.  We struggled to get to the top of the ramp to the seats.  Looking about, I saw no available seats.  I looked down.  Nothing.  I looked up.  Nothing.  I was panting now, and I just stood, damp from perspiration, tired from the day of waiting and standing in the blazing sun.

Slowly I turned to where my wife was standing and, I assumed, looking around.

Cathy was staring directly into the stands to our right, not moving at all.  I looked in the direction she was staring.  A seated woman was staring back at us.  Two empty seats were to her right, and another to her left, but no people were moving towards them.

“It’s Joan,” was all Cathy could say.

It really was Joan, the wife of the former assistant minister of the church back home, hundreds of miles away.  Joan had been fighting a serious illness for years.  She and her husband had moved from our city a year ago.

Shocked at seeing her in this huge crowd, we did our best to walk around others and go towards her.

As we came nearer, Cathy shouted, “I can’t believe it’s you!  We’ve been looking everywhere for seats.  There just aren’t any.”

“We’ve been saving these two,” Joan replied, stunned at seeing us.  “I guess we were saving them for you.”

We all knew God had arranged this, for Cathy and me to be able to participate in the final session and to sit beside Joan and her minister husband Bob, who was dumbstruck by our presence when he returned in a minute to claim his seat on Joan’s left.  We even had time to pray together for Joan’s health before the night ended.  Another precious moment orchestrated by God.

WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW TO HELP THIS COUNTRY AND ALL PEOPLE

I hope all of you write down anything you ever hear from God – whether received in prayer, while you are reading the Bible, while you are just sitting quietly, while you are walking down the street, maybe in a dream or vision. Any word, any communication from God to you is golden. And it has value not only when you receive it but later, sometimes much later. Be sure from time to time to look back at your notes of words you have received from God.

Taking that advice and looking back over past writings, I found two accounts of dreams God sent about a year ago that bear directly on our time right now. I had actually included them in a Watchman Warning back then.

First, in the wee early hours of May 2, 2016, I had a dream in which I saw the action before me. I was not actually a character in the dream, just an observer.

As the dream began, the scene was in Congress. Three men were walking pointedly down a corridor, very purposefully, determinedly. One was a senator and was carrying a briefcase.

In the dream I saw as if from behind, and I saw these three walking. To the left of these along the corridor was an area that continued the length of the corridor. It was full of people watching and murmuring. Murmuring. There was a sense that the senator and Congress don’t know what they are doing.

The senator was walking to vote on a very important matter – environmental, economic, something like that, something important.

And this murmuring from the crowd continued.

Suddenly the senator turned to the crowd and spoke:

“Yes, we don’t know what to do.

But here’s the truth.

You don’t know what to do either.

None of you.

No one on earth knows.”

And in the background these three words came forth:

“Only God knows.”

And then this message: People have to get on their faces and ask God – all people!

And the dream ended.

That was a direct message from God.

The key of the whole thing is obvious: This situation we the people are all in now cannot be solved by people. The people do not know what to do. The organizations and the world systems just are not working well.

And then my wife Cathy just a few days after my dream had a dream clearly from God. In it people sat in a theater watching a play about a fire burning a building. All the while, the theater itself was on fire! Can you think of a better description of our situation in America today? People all the time watch movies and programs and activities with violence, mayhem, wild disasters, immoral behavior, and more, all the time they themselves are living in the midst of and at risk of that very thing in this society.

It is time for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to get down and pray seriously. Get down on your knees and pray. Get on your faces and pray. Go to your prayer closet and pray. Sit in your favorite chair in the corner and pray. However you spend time with God, do it.

Pray for God to remove the veils from the minds of the people, that they will be able to see and to receive and to understand the truth – to understand who the Lord is and the times we are living in and to receive the Lord as their Savior, their King. Pray for revival. Pray for the Holy Spirit to touch everyone. Pray for everyone to be able to discern truth from falsehood.

Help yourselves and all people! Yes, the Lord is coming soon. But surely we don’t have to sit by and let America totally fall to shreds before he comes.

We all have to answer to the Lord.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus!
