* SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE BASIC FACTS

  

Your salvation and your future entirely are in the hands of God. It was always that way.  They entirely depend on the role Jesus Christ fulfilled on earth so many years ago and on your acceptance of him as your Lord.  The Lord Jesus will soon come to claim his believers just before the Tribulation begins.  All those delusional leaders working toward the one-world government, all those leaders in so many areas of life so strongly acting in ungodly ways and in rebellion to God, remain yet to be shocked and surprised.  But it will all happen.  Still.  As always planned.

 

No political party is going to bring salvation and a bright future.  No political party is going to bring escape from what is coming on earth.  No political party is going to bring relief from the steadily increasing lawlessness, falling away from God, rebellion of children against their parents, increasingly immoral behavior of so many, and so much more that is happening all around us. 

 

In all things and at all times keep your eyes on Jesus.  Life as always is all about him and your relationship with him.  Finish any call the Lord has given you, any assignment.  As Paul said, …let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

 

As I always write, do whatever you can as guided by the Holy Spirit to help God the Father in his drawing to Jesus the people he has elected from the beginning of time.  Finishing that task is all that is holding up Jesus from completing his soon second major dramatic visit to the planet.  As the Bible says, it will all happen at the appointed time.   And as Jesus said, watch!

SIGN OF THE TIMES: MANNA FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD

 

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27

…everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. – 1 John 5:4

 

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them. – Psalm 34:7

 

…all things are possible with God. – Mark 10:27

 

…whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these… – John 14:12

 

 

 

Did you read all those words above?  Read them again.  And again.

Jesus is our hope – our only hope. He always has been.  Live in him always.  Keep your eyes on Jesus!

 

So many people today have been and are walking and living in fear.  It is obvious.  So many are still cowed and frightened from the past two years.  So many are afraid to speak up, to state obvious truths for fear of being attacked or shouted down by the politically correct, the abusive press and aggressive woke and progressive movements.  The past two years have brought a huge number of Americans down into a submissive posture, submissive to the orders and direction of secular leaders, many of whom have tried and continue to try to command and really control the lives of the people.

 

But we believers know who we are.  We know who a woman is; we don’t need to have anyone define that.  We know the evils of and how God views all these sexually perverse lifestyles that are trying to move into the mainstream of society. 

 

And we do recognize the risks of covid have fallen to be at the level of other risks of life, not a terrifying plague.  Once I listed all those who die yearly from cancer and heart disease and respiratory illness and more – those are big numbers, really big numbers.  And how about the number that die from traffic accidents and suicide and so on. 

 

Recently I read an article by psychiatrist Mark McDonald who put covid in perspective.  He was writing about the incredible fear of Americans today, the fear engendered by the actions of the press and the government leaders, the fear that led Americans to willingly submit to all those controls and still live lives of fear.  Think for a moment about those high school students who today still want to wear masks in school, or those people who drive down the street by themselves wearing masks.  Think about the forced wearing of masks by two to four year-olds in NYC.  And think about how now we are seeing studies that make the point masks never had provided the protection that was promoted.  Fear is not from God. 

 

I quote here just one paragraph from a Mark McDonald interview:

 

"If you actually look at raw data in terms of deaths, looking at the CDC’s own data, 94 percent of all the recorded deaths were of people who were suffering from three or four significant serious comorbidities (e.g., diseases that lead to death), and the average age of death actually exceeds the average lifespan of the American citizen."

 

If the American people had known who covid really impacted, they might not have ever reacted the way they did.  But the media and the government never let those truths get out.  They very clearly were lying to the American people. 

 

To fulfill the scripture that what was hidden will be revealed, we see now - and will be seeing more and more - all sorts of truths coming into the light.  Still, many continue to live in fear and remain silent on issues where Christians should be speaking out. 

 

You who know the Lord must stand up for him and for his truths.  Jesus is truth.  Regardless of how close we are to his return, and how wicked and evil society at large seems to have become, we can represent the Lord wherever we are.  Why should we care what others think of us?  We are standing up for the Lord.  If you acknowledge him always wherever you are, he will acknowledge you before his father, but if not, he will not do that.

 

Read again the opening scriptures at the beginning of this article.  They are true.  You know the truth.  Live in it.  Live in the peace of the Lord.

GOD MOMENT: THE KEY PROBLEMS

Life was hectic.  I was regularly traveling more than three hundred miles between my home in Connecticut and my new office outside Washington.  At the same time my daughter was planning to be married soon, and to top all that, my wife was continuing to fight unidentified health problems. There were just lots of things to worry about.

Late one Sunday afternoon, my wife and I stopped at a supermarket to pick up a couple of items.  Returning to our locked car, we couldn’t find the key!  A quick look through the car window showed us where it unfortunately was.  Man.  I didn’t need that, as I planned to drive to Washington as soon as we got back to the house.   I telephoned for help, and eventually my daughter and her fiancé came to the rescue with another key.

Returning home, we strangely encountered another key problem.  The downstairs bathroom door was locked.  Looking around I could easily see that everyone was in view, so why was it locked?  How did that happen?  I was getting a bit unraveled.  We kept a key above the doorframe for just such an instance, but now it too was missing.  An intensive search began by all, but we just could not find that key.  I was becoming really anxious from the time spent on these lost key incidents because I had to leave soon.  What could have happened?   I’m sure by my behavior I was making everyone around anxious as well.

After several minutes of searching and while everyone else continued to look, I walked upstairs and into the master bedroom, dark at the time and only lighted by the hall light coming in the door.  Through that dim light I could see lying on the bed a church program, and sticking from the pages of the program was unmistakably the key to the downstairs locked bathroom!  I was stunned.  The air in the bedroom was electric, and the hair on my arms seemed to be standing on end.  I sat down on the bed and picked up the program.  Slowly opening it, I realized it was not from the current Sunday but from a Memorial Day service weeks before.  In the program was a paragraph stating that flowers were given the church that Memorial Day from my wife and me in honor of our deceased fathers.  I sat in the dark for several moments, trying to think.  I was in shock.

Finally, I stood up and left the room, going downstairs to report my find.  Everyone was surprised and said they had not placed the key there on the bed.  It was obvious they were telling the truth.  But unmistakably someone had put the program and the key there, and had locked the downstairs bathroom.  That someone was an angel, of course.  This was a sign that could not be ignored.  Gradually I realized the message:  You are not alone.  Don’t worry so much.

In a small but unforgettable incident, God had stepped in to remind me he was there, to put things in perspective.  Still later I thought about Christ’s admonition in the Sermon on the Mount not to worry about my life.  I was back in focus.
